  1. Whoa... http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/02/05/car-spotlight-gt-gt-flatwell-r34-gt-r.aspx Black is good...
  2. Great info here. I joined this site in hopes of building a track ready R32 GTR but Richard (Baron of Beer) and others helped me realize my disillusionment. Basically, the R32 GTR is a difficult car to make track ready and probably not worth it. Due to that fact, I set my eyes on the Pulsar GTI-R but after readying this thread, seems like I would be in the same situation... I've been debating the usefulness of turbo applications on the track for the past couple of years and most turbo cars need too much attention and maintanence. As of now, I'm thinking that a N/A car has better longevity and reliability. The S2K or the new Scion FR-S (I'm American) will be a better choice: http://www.sciondimension.com/ I would love to track a Nissan but most U.S. Nissans are heavy and don't have a good daily/weekend warrior ratio. Again, great info on the GTI-R mates. You Aussies are helping me save $$$.
  3. BTW, I emailed them about two months ago regarding fitament for the R32: Email with SPL PARTS: "Hello, Do you which of your suspesion parts will fit a Skyline R32 GTR?" " Hi, The following items will fit the Skyline R32 GTR: S13 rear upper arms S13 rear hicas eliminator (available but not advertised yet) S13 traction rods S13 rear subframe bushings or rear subframe conversion bushings S14 rear diff bushings S13 front tension rods Z32 front tie rod ends w/ Z32/Z33 inner tie rods" "Hello, I'm not trying to be a dick but have you guys tested your S13 parts on a R32 GTR? Reason I ask is because 1) I heard that Z32 = GTR and S13 = GTS-T 2) I don't want to order parts from the US and have them not fit my GTR.." "Hi, Yes we have had customers who have purchased our products for the R32 GTR. The rear suspension is almost the same for all S13-S15, Z32 and R32-R34, with some minor differences from chassis to chassis. The Z32 rear control arms are the same as the S13 and R32. The main difference on the rear suspension is just the subframe bushings -- S13 and R32 subframe bushings are the same but Z32 is different; R32 and Z32 have diff bushings but S13 does not. On the front suspension, the R32 is similar to the z32. But our S13 tension rods are the same as the Z32 tension rods, hence for tension rods S13=Z32=R32. But for the tie rod ends you will need the Z32 ones."
  4. Sorry, I'm not done reading but I wanted to jump on this. Finally, someone mentioned SPL on this site. SPL parts are far superior to A LOT of other brand including Japanese brands. http://splparts.com/store/product-list.php?pg1-cid4.html I dressed my Z33 in almost all their suspension parts and I lost count of how many people are on my jock trying to drive my car. Everyone tells me that my car handles way better than theirs (I'm also running monoflex). SPL really gives a @#$% about what their doing and the products they release. I hope a lot more Aussies consider them when upgrading suspension components.
  5. Let me ask you this: Considering that I want to throw Tomei products all over my engine bay, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a lower priced Tomei engine? Your block is $10K Tomei pistons, rods, oil pump, bearing, hardware, etc. etc. Will be about $6-7k more. Don't get me wrong, a GT block is a GT block no questions asked but your sale is going to directly compete with the lower end Tomei long block. I have to think about it, bud.
  6. ^ ^ Does that make the paint better?? I previously owned a Daytona Blue Z and I loved it but I'm going for the white on black wheels look for my GTR.
  7. I think that white did it for me. The BS blue looks good but it just looks good in the picture per the contrast with the other colors. Silver is by far the easiest to maintain. My 350z is chrome silver (same as the Z-tune) and it seems to only need a wash twice a year but I don't think I'd go with that color. I think I'm the only person that doesn't like the purple... I don't know why. I doesn't look aggressive to me... It just looks fruity.
  8. Japan... You just said the magic words. I'm glad it's on the right soil. I'll be in Yamaguchi-ken starting next March. I'll keep you updated.

  12. Are you able to drop the price and revert it more to stock form??
  13. Chef, I'm states side until early next year. I'll be in JP after that. I'm looking for an acutioneer, etc to help me locate a GTR.
  14. Sorry, I don't understand why I'm not receiving email notifications.. No, at the time of me writing that post I was never interested in utilizing their services. I do not recommend FeastAuto. They’re tailored for Canadians and are idiots. My experience with feast (trying to email, private message, and post on the Canadian GTR forums) wasn’t good. They answered my question about a product but out-right ignored me for weeks about locating a GTR. I’m about to burst with $$$$ because I’m holding these dollars for my next GTR. Anyways, Sean Morris (the dude that spearheaded the Skyline importation in the U.S.) recommended R-International. I’ve already opened up communication with Mr. Hara and I’m looking forward to spitting money at him when he’s located a car that I want.
  15. This movie just abruptly ended... What happened to the hero? Did he get the girl?
  16. Just saw this today: http://speedhunters....yline-gt-r.aspx I want that Nismo plenum.
  17. Try http://www.feastautoexport.com/ I think the dude is an Aussie and should provide you with insight.
  18. What are ya'll opinions on the ATTESA system. Is it pretty solid or should I expect to do repairs? Any common know issues with it?
  19. Thats what scares the shit outa me, brother. Nissan isn't own for having great first year cars. Due to this reason, I'm really particular about the conidition the driventrain system is in. I imagine I'll have to dump $5-6k on replacement pairs. My whole budget for this project car is $35k and I plan and doing a lot to make it track worthy. Good advice. Buying is always cheaper than building but, you can agree, it's always better to build than to buy. This allows the driver to know certain aspects of his/her vehicle. I need a '89 because the US gov is strict on any grey market car younger than 25 years. I'll move back to the states around mid, late 2014 or 2015. That way US Customs can STFU
