heya .. yeah, mine is white but depends how long ago because i just got mine about 2 weeks ago theres another white stockish r34 around the city which i've seen too and another white one with a black wing

saw a midnight purple r33 the other day near UTS library didnt really check if it was GTR or a resprayed GTST due to the angle but it looked H O T CF bonnet, nice rims, no badges though btw, anyone goto uts? i regularly see at least two of the following : type Rs, 180s, s15's, celicas parked outside building 10 and apollo i even see lotuses, SL65 AMG(i think, not sure but had dual double exhausts and was wide AS!, owned by old man, presumed a head lecturer), maserati (owned by old woman, presumed a head lecturer also) but i rarely see any lines

Heya Did a search but didnt find what i was after Basically, the stock rims on an r34 are 17x7.5 Would 17x8 (front) and 17x9 (rear) with an offset of 38 fit the GTT? I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to tyres size and offsets Thanks Eric

thanx wilch walked past a shop today.. they're selling the K&N pod and the adaptor for $120 altogether i think thats pretty good for that price.. was originally looking at apexi but pricewise is pretty steep my q is.. as the pod has to be in a box (to avoid defects), can i just pop it in the stock airbox and use the existing vent + make a DIY CAI? i think making a DIY box from heat proof materials would be good but i'm not a DIY kinda guy =( maybe i could just buy the material and line up the stock box? would this suffice? apparently only 1 air mod: pod or FMIC as i dont have FMIC yet, pod should be ok but i think it has to be in a box also but again, if they want to get you, they will. not 100% on this though

lols, thanks for the replies guys think i'll give the pod a try hmm. i've so far managed to avoid being pulled over by police /touch wood they seem to follow me but as long as i dont do anything stupid, they seem to let me go =) one ran a red light (go the law) to follow me bout 5 mins ago @ milsons point then sat of my tail for the next 2 mins through the side streets until i finally parked under work. they drove past looking @ me. =) /ends rant hahaha

hey all comtemplating on fitting some sort of pod or new panel filter into the car did a search but that just got me even more confused =( just a couple of simple q's to straighten out 1) I read that by just whacking on a pod onto a stock car is bad (lose bottom end?).. can this be fixed by putting it into a box or adding a headshield? 2) If i just stick a K&N panel into the stock airbox, are there any more modifications required to get the most out of it? How would this go against a pod? 3) With something like this apexi intake kit ( http://www.modyourcar.com.au/product_info....roducts_id=2607 ), would i need to box it up to not get defected? are there any boxes for sale in shops or can i use stock air box? basically the same q as 1 (would it drop performance) on my stock car? if anything doesnt make sense, its cos i'm a newbie =P thanks all - Eric

serious? who'd you talk to? i just got my insurance off them 2 days ago, julianna and robin were great help had a first quote of $3500 and just when i thought it couldnt get better, they offered $3200. not advertising for them but just stating what happened

oooh.. sorry to hijack but whilst on the same subject. is it bad to keep changing to manual mode whilst driving? i have a really bad habit of changing to manual mode and then downshifting when approaching a red light. also, weird thing happened to day.. was in manual mode and stopped at a roundabout.. the tcs, slip and hicas light went on and i "stalled" wtg? how does this happen? who stalls on an auto? my car is stock btw.. weird, but there a first to everything i guess

Hi all Just picked up the car today and have a q.. The person i got the car said I should get the car tuned for 98 octane as it causes the timing to be a bit off and runs a little lean. Is the tune necessary and does this mean i need an aftermarket ECU? He suggested i use octane booster in the meantime? Cheers - Eric edit: as you can see, i am a noob so plz no flaming ^^

not really related but... was in the city having dinner (if you know its in sydney - the street behind sussex street where all the chinese restaurants have their tables outdoors etc) halfway through dinner, a police patrol car driven by two female officers drove through that street... i was like wtg? the street is packed (literally) and everyone were like sitting outside eating etc (ppl had to get up and move away from the tables to make way for the car) not to mention the smell of exhaust fumes whilst eating!! they couldve gotten out of the car and walked instead of driving through everyone.. wonder what would happen if they hit someone

search for a thread by DAN666 he has 'strapped' a r33 gtst turbo onto his rb25de neo but it required ALOT of work in the long run.. depends on who u know to source parts, install, tune.. it would generally be cheaper and hassle free to sell and get the gtt
