  1. Not really sure.........but come along anyway.........park it next to the Club President's oldskool R31 and mingle
  2. could it be teed off of the other side of the plenum where the boost gauge gets it's pressure reading from!............. Yes
  3. We didn't say that ....if you just want to read, someone was making up a gadget that plugs into the Consult plug and does just that... gives a readout of about 20 paramaters. He said it could be made to use a laptop. It was on here not too long ago ....do a search including the groupbuy forum
  4. Haha! A very good guide on how to do a dodgy fibreglass repair. It doesn't take much more effort and substitute a small fibreglass repair kit for the Plastibond and you would have an invisible repair that is as strong as the origional. In either case the final appearance depends on the quality of the paint repair
  5. Ratbags...one and all!! David Mell You neglected to mention which particular "go car" you have. Skyline stock ECU's have a limited ability to learn and adapt to drivers style of driving. Disconecting the battery resets the ECU to factory basic settings.
  6. I think I've got one ...do you want the complete exhaust or just the dump pipe
  7. You can't get the "real deal" to fit on the GTST without getting the front guards and bonnet too. gtst89 all the aftermarket kits are fibreglass apart from a couple of carbon fibre ones. The quality varies depending on who it's made by. The good news is it's tougher than you would think and is very easy to repair ....even diy with a little practise
  8. Or get an aftermarket ECU that can be accessed via laptop eg Microtec, EMS or Power FC+ FC-Datalogit
  9. Had it tuned on Fri Gavin Woods and Marty Spry, they finished up with 270rwhp reasonable conservative tune. Suits me
  10. Haha! I got there just after lunch and it was all over however I put my car on and got 250 hp and 1255 NM torque.....does seem to read a little lower than others
  11. I might be in that....depends on the final arrangements and where it takes place. I could accept a pro driver if I wasn't elligeble
  12. Double check everything make sure no vaccuum leaks....no hoses left off etc. I don't know what the ignition setup is on those but if it has plug leads check them for the right fireing order. I'm assuming it was ok before you took it apart and check the engine and manifold earths to the body
  13. About time!!! it's been a looong wait!!
  14. This setup is the same as mine, it still vents to the plenum via the PCV valve when neg pressure is present in the plenum and vents via the catchcan to the turbo intake pipe when pos pressure is in the plenum....only diff is my catchcan is on the oposite side to shorten the tubing and looks tidier. There is no venting to atmosphere....it's on my street car....and legal
  15. Here's a catchcan http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/members/5...20can%20005.jpg
  16. For what it's worth here's my setup....figure out which one it is . Remember most bought catchcans have 1 inlet and 1 outlet the inlet should feed to the bottom of the can http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/members/5...sCar/engine.jpg
  17. Saw it at Mat Spry Dyno today. Given all the whinging re slowest car on the block in the past I predict we are in for a very smug...if not outright gloating James in the near future  I'm back up to a very safe 270rwhp as of today....finally!!!
  18. It sounds like a stock from your descriptions.... Why don't you just run it down to Gavin Woods and get him to plug his Consult in....that will tell you right away. If you've got big fmic and exhaust + stock ECU it will tend to run rich, but the R32 ECU is tunable to some extent I believe. Good luck
  19. If you go to Nissan for parts they want the info from the origional blue plate, they'r not interested in the compliance plate. I would want to know why they took it off regardless of the legalities as the easiest thing to do is just leave it on. Strutto: Mine says Ver 5.27 model cd's 2003/9. Wonder what the differences are?? If a faster download site turns up I'll download and compare.
  20. Just curious....what version number is this copy
  21. Loosen the tierod locknut again and separate the tierod balljoint and wind in or out until your dodgy wheel points straight ahead. bit of trial and error involved
  22. Try 32 to 35psi for the road, between 16 t0 20psi for the dragstrip (rears only) and 40 to 50psi on the track it's pretty much trial and error 'til you get it handling the way you want it
  23. I guess you could have picked a better crew to fit your bodykit, however the other things are just general wear and tear, sealing rubbers and suspension bits get old and tired after 10 to 12 years. It's a fact of life when you drive a 10 + yr old car
  24. I have a set of 17x8.5 offset +30 for the front and there are no problems with them. also 18x8 offset +31 again no problems
