  2. So I wasn't trying hard enough........bummer.....I'll console myself with the thought that I still have my car to drive
  3. if you want more photos let me know Yes Please....
  4. Some pics of the day Myself..white front bar, Mick51...R32, MRE R33 2 door, and a Maroon R33 were all on the track at the same time + the 3 of us went to and from in convoy. It was a really good day but very hot, heaps of Skylines there. The white GTR was very very quick but ran out of brakes and went off the end of the straight at just on 220kph,however having emptyed out a ton of gravel he was back on the track. Mick and Dave(MRE) both lost it a few times while Mr Cool (me) didn't but was 3 secs slower 1.11 http://members.optushome.com.au/jay51/Hi%2...Shootout%20SAU/
  5. Thanks skyline... I'd lost that one........MRE made some smoke of his own at Queensland raceway this afternoon...
  6. I'm upgrading to Brembos in the next couple of months so there will be a full set of R33 GTS25T calipers available. The rotors won't be available... not enough wear left in them
  7. I had the same problem with the $90 partition I got from UAS some time ago. If you want a cold air box for YOUR car you will need to bite the bullet and make one yourself. the easiest way and very effective too is to use closed cell foam sheet with a reflective film on one side and adhesive on the other. its easy to work with and because its fairly soft and bendy it can scrunch in to fill all the little gaps around the edges and bottom. If you make another one a mirror image and stick them together you have a partition about an inch thick with reflective foil inside and out and plenty stiff enough to do the job.

    Race day

MRE Heh Dave, Gates open 7am racing starts 8.30am I want to be there at 7 we leave my place at 6am 6.15 latest. If you want to join us fine ,get here about 5,30 or so quick cup of tea final check of gear then off. We won't have a spare helmet and you may need leather gloves too. See you Sun .......well done on the low 14's
  10. I think 1N4 is a two tone dark grey lower and silver upper
  11. I'd be getting them to recheck the balance on the tailshafts first then if you decide to go one piece i'd be going someplace else. 80 to 100 hmmm! are you sure at this point that you haven't got a wheel out of balance as well
  12. Why didn't they go the extra mile and take the pipe across the front at the bottom of the radiator where it's in the airflow instead of up high where bit just adds heat to the engine bay. That's how my ARE setup is done.
  13. Apparrantly you can adjust the timeing for more power up top or more torque lower down and boosting the torque is going to make it more driveable....and quicker. And , yes if the timeing cover is comming off that would be a good time to add it or them
  14. HEhehehehehe........Qld club pres or not...........we've seen you drive :burnout: I believe the stud patten is the same and as they are only 5 or 6 ins rim there shouldn't be any problem with the offsets

    Race day

Less of the old boy stuff you young twirp, just remember..on the 30th Nov you'll be squirming around on your knees pleading to borrow a set of my good wheels and tyres. Oh... by the way.......will you be driving the Skyline....or the Lanos?? PJKJ We will both be there it should be a good day. This will be the first time on the full circuit. Considering all the claimed 200 to 300 rwkw Skylines that are floating around SE Queensland it surprises me that so few show up to these events. Question.... Could a 200 to 300rwkw Skyline that never makes it to the dragstrip or racetrack be considered........Rice?? :burnout:
  16. Why didn't you order them from Japan yourself and cut out the middleman.....probably cheaper and quicker
  17. ylwgtr I haven't forgotton our conversation, I'm having a think about which direction I want to go. I'll be back in touch via PM when I know what I want to do. cheers Jay
  18. I think ylwgtr was using genuine carbon fibre....a different situation all together

    HICAS Rack

Looking for a HICAS steering rack for R33 must be in very good condition
  20. But it can be done if you're careful and take your time. You get the flat areas on first then work out slowly to the curves . You need to warm the stuff as you go to make it more pliable, around inside corners like into the aperture for the cd player you will probably need at least one judicious slit in each corner
  21. Having both an R32 and an R33 in the family, both 4 doors, I think we've got the best of both worlds..... We're now trying to talk my wife into swapping her Camry for an R34...
