(usually after a spirited drive down s/e freeway ) Niz30.......enjoy your licence while you have it.... possibly worst place in Brizvegas for a "spirited drive"
  2. no clips under the headlights 3 plastic clips along centre top under grill 2 screws either end holding splash guard 2 screws either end securing bar unplug fog/ind lights
  3. NIZ30 would be interested to see how your suspension job turned out. I opted for Whiteline coilovers with DMS 50mm fully adjustable struts I'm still in the process of getting it set up just right
  4. how do we get a hold of the manuals????? To My Knowledge no manuals exist except for a comprehensive owners book about $60 www.rmaimports.com.au which is worth having and an engine manual for the R32 which covers the CA18i RB20E, RB20DE,RB20DET, RB25DEand RB26DETT about $160 Some time ago gts32t posted in the sales business forum that he gould get any manuals translated to English for around $180 but was not willing, apparantly, to divulge any further info eg the source manual
  5. I got them from a used car salesman.......so I know I got a good deal...( ) Primo..... a familiar figure in the for sale forum......we went up there on Sunday and Mick bought the R32 from him as well. Good news for me.......should extend the life of MY gearbox by several months at least. You can now look forward to seeing two Silver 4 doors at Willowbank 4 Doors Rooooool!!!!
  6. Hmmmm...... I didn't put that very well Factory wheels 16x6.5 with 205 50 16 Vrederstein Protraks weighed 19.25Kg each. Weds 18x8 front with Yokohama Grand Prix 235 35 18 weigh 18Kg each rears 18x9 with 265 35 18 weigh 19.5Kg each hence total save of 2Kg Current ride hight is 255mm rear 245mm front from wheel centre to guard arch. I don't remember what the standard is does anyone know??
  7. NIZ30 Nice wheels yourself mate . All 4 are total 2Kg lighter than the factory wheels with 205 50 16

  9. The buttons are there so you can lower it when parked with the park brake on for cleaning or just admiring after all this is the only time you can see it . It pops back up when the handbrake comes off and activates automatically around 80Kph both up and down. Anyone want to count up how many times this question has been answered here and on SDU
  10. factory one is plastic ..... PP + EP the EP is just an additive to make the plastic flow better in the mold but it makes the bumper more dificult to weld if you need repairs
  11. My shift light is spliced into the Apexi RSM from memory... red wire to power black to earth and the other one spliced into the revs output line from the apexi or the revs input to the apexi I'd have to check which
  12. Alot of the aftermarket coilovers are noisy. If you look at all the rubber in the mounts for the factory items you'll understand why. The aftermarket ones are usually minus all this. The bolt that pokes through the hole in the top of the fender holds the shock strut and spring together. Don't touch it until after the assembly is out and the spring is compressed using your spring compressors. There are 2 studs with nuts one on each side of the hole these you undo, then the one at the bottom holding the bottom of the strut. You may need to lever the wheel hub down and apply a little leverage to the bottom of the strut to pop it off.. The rear setup on Skylines is the same as the front
  13. Hmmmmm!..... maybe I should stop spending money on the Skyline and throw a bit at Mick's Lanos.......
  14. Mick and I will be there Sunday only ....general admission. Maybe we can meet for a mugachino or something
  15. Did you have any problems with the primer sealer coat? how much preparation did you do
  16. Have you bought the clutch and syncros allready? seems a waste to pull the gearbox twice. Do the syncros when you do the clutch and then see how it goes . Check your pm
  17. Hmmmm ! very nice.....short sleeves an' all..... would love to have been there
  18. New nut, run a die down the bolt, failing that use the Yellow Pages and find an engineering workshop near you....... perhaps your mum will do it for you

    get together

I'll probably be there for that one. It's a good day.... but much harder on the car than dragracing
  20. When I've had the a/c on for a while I'm getting my left foot doused with cold water when I do a left turn, refreshing but somewhat startling. I assume i'ts condensation from the a/c and the drain tube is blocked. I have the dashboard and centre console out but can still see bugger all. cant even find the drain tube on the inside of the car. Looks like I have to remove the carpet and insulation and to do that looks like I have to remove the centre console completely also the front seats. Anyone know if this is right. Please tell me there is an easier way.
