  1. Thanks Duncan, I will do that. If anyone has a place they recommend for that in Western Sydney, I'd love to hear who is good for AC things.
  2. I have a 1992 GTST and I feel like one of the last things to sort out now is the air conditioning. I thought I didn't care about it, but the Penrith summers just keep getting hotter, so here we are. The head unit seems to work all fine with the sensors, the more I try to lower the temperature on auto control the more the fans blow so that part of the system seems to work fine, it just doesn't blow cold air. I don't anything about air conditioning, is this just getting it regassed? A 1992 car, does this need to be converted to a newer type of gas? If so, will that cost me a fortune? Thanks for any information.
  3. I noticed today that when I was driving home that when I applied the handbrake that there was no warning light on on the dash. Not long before that I had very stupidly not taken it off when I pulled away and there was a thump while I was driving. I thought my handbrake was broken at that point, but when I was stopped on a hill I applied and it worked fine, but no light came on. Will this be a sensor that is broken most likely? I am not sure even where to start looking. Any pointers appreciated. Cheers.
  4. I'm after an R32 Gtr grill for my Gtst, prefer in black, but mostly just after one in good condition.
  5. E85 was too much of a pain for me without having a flex fuel setup, so I just went back to 98. It was fun while it lasted.
  6. WTB R32 Passenger side window switch Looking to get my hands on a working R32 window switch for the passenger side. Cheers.
  7. I don't have a build thread, just a bunch of questions littered around the forum from about this time in 2011 until Jez tuned it in January 2012. Do have some more pics from the day I picked it up though. Was a long day today washing, polishing, waxing, steel wool on the windows. Feels very good to finally have it painted by a pro
  8. Picked up from the Painter I haven't been too active for a while, the last part of my project had taken a bit of a back seat as getting a car painted is, as we all know, pretty expensive. I did just pick my car up from the painter this week. Spent today washing, polishing, waxing and getting the last of the body kit back on the car. Is nice to have the aesthetic portion of the car underway now after having owned it for so long. Just the interior to finish now. Did get an Apple Car Play stereo into it, not just need the new carpet, and rear seat covers and new trims and it'll be like a new car. Very excited to have had this part of it finally done. I thought I'd come and post and share this. The forums here were integral in figuring out how I wanted to do fix up the car, so thanks to everyone.
  9. I picked up one of these, it got me back on the road so I could drive at night, that was the immediate priority. https://www.autobarn.com.au/performance-plus-hid-kit-h1-6k-slim-ballast-35w
  10. I narrowed it down to H1 after some difficult googling, I just got a replacement kit from Autobarn. It wasn't Philips, but at least I have working headlights now. Thank you.
  11. How do I tell what globe this is How can I tell what kind of HID globe this is? Sorry if it's a stupid question but I've never dealt with them before and now this one doesn't work and need to get new globes. Thanks
  12. It said you can't receive messages, my number is 0410761078
  13. Modified R33 Gtst Airbox Modified R33 Gtst airbox, had it in my R32 before I found a 32 airbox. Modified to take air in through the front and fibreglassed shut through the old intake hole. All the clips are good and not broken. Was on the car when tuned for 242rwkw. Have a K&N Panel filter that can go with it. Located at Werrington, $50.
  14. R32 GTR Seats Pair of 32 GTR seats for sale. The driver's seat is in bad shape, but the passenger seat is in good shape, just needs a bit of a clean. No seat belt clips, they went onto my new seats, have the rails still attached though. Reclining works on both seats. Located at Werrington, pick up preferred unless you want to organise shipping, $250.
  15. Thanks for the info, that's super helpful, I'll check the box and see what they sent with it. Going with the genuine could well be the way to go though, how much would you want for one?
  16. Overactive Radiator Fan My car is an R32 Gtst. Not too long ago the fan started to run non-stop and after doing some research on here I replaced the viscous clutch with this one, but the fan still runs a lot more than it should, my temperature gauge not getting up above 70C on days that are about 35C, I'm not sure my thermostat would even open at these temperatures. Because of this I also replaced the ECU Water temp sensor hoping that that would sort it out, but still, the fan is going too much. I am not sure what to check next. Multimeter to make sure the sensor is getting power? Should I get a consult cable and plug ECUtalk and see if there is an error code? I am not sure what I should try. If I need to just take it to a mechanic I will, but am trying to save the expense if I can. Any guidance very welcome. Thanks guys.
  17. Thanks, I'll hit them up and see what they have.
  18. rb20 Idler pulley So I had a post about a noise in my belts, or surrounding parts, and I am now pretty sure it was the a/c idler pulley since it shagged itself off the car as I was driving home yesterday, the noise I was worried about was completely gone after that! Now obviously I need to replace it, hopefully very quickly. I found it on Kudos Motorsport, http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/idler-pulley-nissan-skyline-gts25-gts25-25gt-25gt-25gt-stagea-wc34-four-p-176.html, but does anyone know, is there anywhere in Sydney I could get this to hopefully get it faster? Cheers for any help peeps.
  19. So I'm pretty sure my idler pulley was f**ked, since there was a clunk driving home yesterday, I pop the bonnet, the belt is loose. So I got under the car ....
  20. Thanks for the replies guys, sorry, just had a mental month. I replaced all the belts, that got rid of the screeching sound, the alternator belt was absolutely munched. There is still a bit of a noise, almost like a whir, but it's much better than before, my mate thinks my power steering pump might need a recondition. I'll probably just take it to a mechanic to get it checked out soon. Thanks for the help.
