Hi Guy's, I have finally decided that I am going to do the rb25 engine and gearbox conversion, along with a power fc and dump pipe. I will do the turbo and injectors most likely early next year. I was wondering where would be a good place to source all my parts??? I don't want to go some where dodgy and get shit quality parts, I live in Melbourne and I'd like to know what places would be good without charging too much. thanks Mark

I love the shape of the 32 so there's no way I could go to the r33 (no offence 33 owners) I think that 220-240 kw's on a rb25 in a 32 would be a perfect street setup that would also be good to drive on the track. Even with my mates car which probably had 190 or so it pulled like crazy!!!! Take it easy Mark

Thanks for the advice buddy I don't wish to chase crazy kw figures, I just want something smooth and quick within reason. I did go for a spin in a 32 with a stock rb25det with fmc,pod, 32 re-mapped ecu, 11psi and it was a wonderful combination!!! Take it easy Mark

Im still not sure on what option to go for I know i will definetly need the rb25 gearbox although I dont know whether to: Buy a hks gt-rs turbo, dump pipe, power fc, and gtr injectors or Buy a rb25, power fc and if i can afford it a hks 2540 or something similar.

Hi George, I love the rb20, don't get me wrong I just think that the rb25 is great on the 32. A mate took me for a spin in his rb25 equiped 32 and it felt great. Plus I think it would be better for $$$ getting a rb25 engine and gearbox as the gearbox is alot stronger and engine felt so smooth. It would feel crazy if i did get a power fc, injectors and turbo. I know a mate that gets half cuts and parts so ill see what I can do Take it easy Mark

Maybe I can just get my hands on a later model rb25 (Non Neo) and gearbox, power fc, dump pipe, injectors and a hks 2540 or something similar. I think that would work really nice. I would like to be able to achieve 250 odd rw kw's in the future although I would like that there as an option and cruise with 220 or so. Would that sound like a nice set up? Thanks Again Mark

SydneyKid which option would you take? My gearbox whines at the moment and I have always had Castrol Oil in it, Im worried if I stay with the rb20 that it will break. In my opinion a Neo engine and box will be good because its not very old. Anyone else got some ideas on my situation??? Thanks Mark

well after buying: turbo - $2,500 power fc - $1,500 gtr injectors - $400 dump pipe - $300 then labour and tuning it will be quite similar. The benefit is the neo engine and gearbox will be only a few years old and gearbox will handle more power for future upgrades. Although im open to everyones ideas. thanks Mark

thanks for the input guys!!! if im really light on the throttle and let it rev to 3,000rpm in 1st,2nd or 3rd it gets louder. If i drive normal the filter and exhaust noise covers it. How much would it cost to have the bearings changed??? thanks Mark

Im not sure if I have a short shifter, when the car is idling the thrust bearing makes a little noise. Although the whining noise is occuring when im driving. My diff whines a lil like how Oosh said, although the noise im talking about is different. thanks mark

Hi Guys, I have noticed that my gearbox whines, it has for some time now although its a little louder. When driving the engine noise covers it although if I put along at very low speeds in either 1,2 or 3rd it whines a bit. The gearbox oil has always been changed regulary and it still feels nice changing gears. What could be the problem??? Will i need to get another gearbox in the near future??? thanks Mark

If you guys want a 32 gts-t in the shoot id be more than happy! My car apprears to be quite clean: It recently had a re-spray (white) its got 18's, gtr front, no rear spoiler, lowered with tein coil overs and blitz front mount. Interior is spotless... take it easy Mark
