  1. well... a degassing certificate is obtained before the car left japan. According to the laws, all air- conditioners need to be de-gased before departure and are regased afterwards. They probably want the certifivate to see if it was de-gased
  2. why is it in brisbane?? dont you live in melbourne??
  3. lol HALO 2 keeps getting delayed, it was meant to be out in May, now it novemeber... but i cant wait to play it, many new features
  4. definetly, especially if you give it a stock paint job with stock rims, nobody would know what it has under the hood... everyone would lose
  5. glad to help... yea sorry bout that, jspec sold it within a day of posting the car... the guy in melb wants $20,000 more but its got $10,000 worth of mods and its already in the country which is good as complaincing has been paid and its already registered. You can also see the car before buying it, unlike importing one from japan. P.S Bayside Blue is the best colour
  6. lol... if someone had a car like that in a showroom all the time, it would be a waste of a 1000 HP car, this car needs to be on the road 24/7... i think you could make more money from street drags... imagine ripping every car on the street :flamed: (not that anyone would, as street racing is illegal)
  7. yea your right.... better off importing a brand new engine from japan for the price of a rebuild
  8. Jspec had (possibly still has) an R34 GTR V-spec 1999 for $62,000... in black too. Its located in japan though so i dont know about compliancing... Ive seen a guy on firesport selling his Bayside Blue (best colour) R34 GTR Vspec for $85,000 22,000km HKS Exhaust Downpipe Apexi power FC HKS cam gears Blitz air intake CRUX suspension APEXi Butterfly AVO intercooler Blitz Blowoff valve Blitz Turbo timer ARC heat shield Ganador Mirrors EBC Brake pads Car is located in melbourne though... heres the link: http://firesport.ipspace.com/?section=item...on=show&id=9018
  9. it cound still be complianced under sevs but would need to be returned to stock... with that many mods you'll be waiting many months ... a better option would be to bribe it into the country... But $90,000 for a 1000HP (750kw) skyline is very cheap... you will not find another that cheap thats for sure... if i had the $$$$ it would already be in my driveway
  10. its probably not worth the risk... but the stock exhaust is kinda crappy too... maybe reach a compromise, sell the dragger, and buy another which wont get you defected
  11. ive seen some R33 GTR engines (RB26DETT obviously) going for 6k... didnt mention how many km's theyed done or what year
  12. hehe chris... i think anybody wouldnt mind that car, but try compliancing it under SEVS... damn...
  13. HALO is the maddest multiplayer game... i also have an xbox and have had a few LAN sessions (blood gulch and sidewinder are best)... but not 7 hours (i think id go epileptic by then) NFS underground is good for simgleplayer
  14. i think ill second Marks question... it doesnt matter how good an R32 GTR looks on the outside, it still has a 15 year old engine. The $15,000 examples ive seen were with 100k kms and that was my main concern with importing one now... what is the price range to recondition a 15 year old RB26??
  15. i dont know about NSW but in victoria (i could be wrong) motorbikes dont have front end plates, only on the rear... and all the speed cameras in my area (besides being valdalised) dont seem to take oncoming photos, but i dont think testing to see if im right is a good idea
  16. i heard that the reason they cannot take foward pictures is because motorbikes do not have front number plates. So they made it that only rear pics are taken
  17. as a matter of fact, prestiege motorsport sold a nice 97 R33 GTST with an RB26 in it for 30k a few months back... 404kw at the wheels
  18. yea, 30k might get you a 95 GTR with high km's or slight damage, the cheapest R33 GTR ive seen was 34k... and that was a terrible example... with your price range, stick with the GTT or even a highly modified R33 GTST 97 or so.
  19. I think you need to upgrade your airbags... 18 year old + GTR= nothing good... If you really think you can handle it then go right ahead, nice to see another GTR on AUS roads. How much you paying for it?? Got specs/pics??
  20. bah... thats where a large boot comes in handy... stuff the kids there and no more complaining (also adds to rear wheel traction)...
  21. hmmm... i would go the GTR, purely for power. Also the RB26DETT is alot easier (and fun) to modify then the NEO 6... but that just depends on how far your willing to go with mods. If you want to mod the hell out of your car i say GTR, if not then GTT
  22. well if you need to compromise for a family, why not buy a van?? lol i hear they can seat 8 in pure comfort. A nice toyota Tarago lowered to the road with a nice set of 21 inch chromes would certianly turn some heads... Anyway... the Gt-t wouldnt be as family friendly as an EVO, im not to familiar with chasers nor stageas so i wouldnt know
  23. i dont disagree with you, the EVO is still based around the local chassis and anyone who has been in a 4 door lancer would agree that space is no luxury but i wouldnt mind borrowing the EVO's recaro's any day (would you?)
  24. I dont know if i would consider recaro seats as "econobox", the momo eqiupment is also quite good, EVO 7's and 8's come with decent interiors in my opinion but dont compete with the space of most other sportscars on the market... i think they are the smallest 4 door cars you can buy, but still bigger than most 2 doors... and i dont think a family car agrees with a 2 door car, there is bound to be some space issues...
  25. those wharfies have sticky fingers, i agree with zymotic, arange to see the car ASAP to tackle any issues before compliance. kiwicar is one of the only shipping companies that offers free insurance. Jspec have some info that might interest you: http://www.j-spec.com.au/files/general.html
