  1. Is the Sony a detachable face unit? If so, check the contacts are clean and make sure the face clicks in properly. Cheers
  2. Please feel free to make an offer if you think I'm dreamin'. Depending on the sale price, I can personally deliver it as far as Sydney. Cheers
  3. RB30 motor still on original crate - so I am told. Brand new......well, never used anyway. $2,800 ono. Located in Queanbeyan, NSW. This RB30 engine was obviously purchased new through Holden many years ago as a back up for the previous owner's Holden Calais VL. But as you would expect of the RB30, he didn't need it. Unfortunately it sat in a mechanics workshop for most of its life and some parts were taken from it. It is missing the front timing belt gear including the covers, bottom pulley/harmonic balancer and fan. The injectors were removed but a new set of Nissan injectors is included. Some hoses and a couple of screws/washers were also removed. Naturally it doesn't have the starter motor and alternator. It does, however, have the water pump, exhaust and inlet manifolds and depending on the price paid it may include the throttle body with cruise control linkage. Basically this is a complete motor from rocker cover down to sump. I got it to put in my R31 wagon as the mechanic advised me I would need to completely rebuild my current motor (it was dripping oil) but one new cam shaft seal and one all-nighter in my garage I fixed it myself. Anyway, the RB30 is taking up space in my garage that I really want back so I need to move it on. If you are in the Canberra region, I can deliver it to your door. I will also assist in delivery arrangements for anywhere else. Enough waffling on though, now for the pics. Cheers Glen 0413 082 606

[Canberra] Just by chance as I stood up from my desk and looked over the partition out the office window just after lunch today (Monday) I seen a dark green C34 (S1?) going into the open air car park at the Airport.
  5. I actually ordered two - one in a different fabric (Dash tex, which is like a weave). One was $65 and the other $51 (don't know which was which) and postage/handling was $40 all in USD so it actually came in a few dollars cheaper in AUD. The embroidery can be done for around $11 located on the passenger side in any colour. There is also a velour (slightly cheaper) and a brushed suede which I reckon would go great with the black half leather trim some V35s have. I would be happy to enquire about a group buy if there was any interest. What I would really like to know is whether it will suit the earlier M//V35s. If anyone in the Canberra region with a Series 1 wants to try it, I would be happy to meet up. The main reason I got it was to stop the vinyl sweating and filming up on the windscreen all the time. Cheers
  6. A quick search for "pollen filter" and I found this thread - Air Con Filter . The last page has a link to an awesome step by step instruction with photos put together by "bangahh". I hope this helps. Cheers
  7. Old thread I know but I thought I'd post a reply in case any V35 owner is still interested. This is a dashmat I got for my Stag M35 Series 2 which should fit a later (Series 2,3 ?) V35 Skyline as well. It might also fit a Series 1. I got it from a US company called Dash Designs. Basically it's a 2005 Infiniti G35 dash cover custom made for right hand drive. I took a punt buying it as the G35 is essentially a left hand drive Skyline V35 and the V35 appears to have the same dash as the Stagea. Well, it fits perfectly, which means the V35 and M35 dash's must be identical. It has a cut-out for the auto headlight sensor but it doesn't have one for the passenger side sensor, which I'm not sure if it is a sensor at all. I also need to confirm that it doesn't affect the passenger airbag (It's really lightweight so I guess it wouldn't). The lump above the clock is a sensor (ETC?) of some sort which I hope to remove once I know it's not important. The mat is not stuck down at the moment. The small separate piece over the instrument binnacle definitely needs some velcro to hold it in place. What I'm not sure of is whether it will fit a Series 1 M35 or V35 given they have a different clock surround and binnacle surround to the Series 2. The earlier model G35 in the US has an analogue clock below the climate control display so it would look odd. Anyway the company was really helpful, they have many different fabrics and colours and can also embroid a logo or word on it. My one is a perforated suede look which ties in perfectly with the perforated leather seats and door trim. Cheers

[Canberra] Spotted a black C34 S2 this morning at 0930 on Allara St just down from the Casino in Civic. Had signs of a recent repair to the lower front bar.

    Stagea Dashmat

Thought I'd post a piccie of my new dashmat I just bought for my M35 Series 2. I got it from a US company called Dash Designs. I took a punt buying it as the G35 is essentially a left hand drive Skyline V35 and the V35 appears to have the same dash as the Stagea. [CANBERRA] While stuck at the lights at Pialligo Ave near the Airport this arvo (about 5:30pm), I caught a glimpse of the distinctive rear of a black M35 which had just turned onto Fairbairn Ave. Traffic was a bit heavier than usual. Also spotted a few weeks ago a silver C34 at the Glenora Dve / Pialligo Ave traffic lights coming out of the old Fairbairn Air Base. Stared right at the driver but I don't think he noticed.
  11. I have Prorack Whispbars on my PM35. They're a NZ company. I got mine through Roof Rack City in Fyshwick, ACT. Here's a link to Prorack's website. http://www.whispbar.com.au/findmycar Just select Nissan, Stagea and your year model, although they're all the same. Mine are Through bars for more practicalness but the flush bars probably look better. I only have one sunroof but the rack doesn't interfere with its operation - they sit fairly high. The mounts on the M35 are fixed so you can't move them to any other position. I think it's good being able to keep an eye on your load while you're driving, especially if the load is expensive bicycles.
  12. Great looking car, especially love the grille. Does the Nismo sticker mean anything? Gear shift direction is definitely a personal thing. My sister has a HSV which is set up opposite to the Stag and one of the first things she commented to me was she wished it was the other way around. For those that have swapped the direction, can the + and - marks be swapped neatly or can they be removed? Otherwise this would be confusing to anyone else who may have to drive the car. I spose you could just ban anyone else from driving it . On a side note, gotta love accurate advertising. Looks more like an AR-X than a 250RS V, 139,000ks not 136,000, if it is rear drive type why does it have a snow button (OK, in the description it does say AWD), there's no dual climate button, the cruise, if it exists, must be aftermarket, and 4 speed.................why even bother writing anything.......... or am I being too picky?

    Questions On M35

    1. ARX rims are 18 x 7.5 JJ, +40 offset. 2. I don't have any recommendations for tyres yet but the tyre placard says 225/55 R18 97H, although my ARX has 235/50 R18 101V (these came with it when I bought it). Having said this, when I upgrade my wheels I'll be looking at a larger rolling diameter to hopefully correct the speedo and maybe even improve the fuel economy. 3. In the "M35 - Light Changes" thread M35 - Light Changes recently Duncan (Dunc) posted a photo of the indicator bulb. Basically it is a larger version of the parker (T10). I think they are known as T20 and it should be 21 watts as specified in the handbook. I'm fairly certain the rear bulbs are the same as the front. Cheers
  14. Yeah the mirrors are tucked in. I used it again today and checked around the rear and it looks like it should accommodate a rear wing/spoiler (yours is the same one that I've had sitting patiently in a box for over a year waiting to be painted). Being lightweight, the cover sure is fun trying to put it on by yourself even in the slightest breeze. But once it's on it definitely won't blow off - I don't even bother with the strap that runs under the car. I think the Kenco large wagon cover would be too big at 50cm longer than mine. Another one I forgot to mention that Kenco do is a Pathfinder one at 5200mm long, but that may still be too big. Maybe a larger one could be modified/sewn up??? Autotecnica also appear to do a Tyvek cover for a large 4WD that is up to 4900mm long which may suit the C34 better and I don't think the extra 10cm would make it too loose on a M35. Cheers
  15. Just a quick question regarding your car's flares. Given your car started life as an ARX, are they ARX flares or Axis flares? I think the overall shape of both are the same, but the main difference is that Axis flares have a rubber gasket that goes between the fender and the plastic flare - you can just make it out in the image below. My guess is that because the Axis flares are painted, the gasket stops vibrations between the flare and body that would otherwise cause the paint to chip on the flare (ARX flares being usually unpainted). I assume you have ordered the black Axis fender from eBay. Hopefully the gasket on a black Axis is not black (It's hard to tell in the second image) as that will stand out on your lighter coloured car. For what it's worth, I reckon when it's finished it will look great. A gold Axis will be very unique - unless the one below is not yours in pre-accident days, in which case it won't be so unique .
  16. Saw this one in Go Go Girls a while ago. It's a NZ tv series. A Stagea taxi - lucky Kiwis. The guy was so excited to see one he just had to get a closer look . Also some nice Skylines appear in the show as well. Some of you may have already seen the below image but I think it counts as a Stag in the media . I found it through the Elgrand forum but it was actually on a German news site. I sure admire the Japanese for their dedication and resiliance. The first image is obviously in March 2011 and the last one is in September 2011. And what's with the "Sacred Elgrand" ????
  17. This is mine. A Kenco Tyvek medium station wagon (4800 long x 1800 wide x 1300 high (liberty size)). It's fairly snug as I originally bought it for my R31 wagon and when I put my wing on the Stag it will probably be too tight around the rear roof line and I'll have to purchase the larger cover. The next size up is 5300 x 1800 x 1200 (Falcon/Magna). It's easy to put on and protects from everything (except hail). It's washable and it's made in Oz. As far as I know, which might be nothing , the dimensions of our wagons are as follows (LxWxH): C34 - 4800 x 1755 x 1495 (according to wiki) M35 - 4785 x 1760 x 1510 (according to Northshore Prestige website) R31wgn - 4650 x 1690 x 1395 (according to R31SkylineClub website) I know the last one isn't a real Stag, but I thought I'd add it for reference. Happy to be corrected on these as well. Cheers.
  18. Thanks for the comments guys. 1. Yep, aftermarket sunroof. A Webasto Hollandia 700 fully electric. When I picked up her up from Northshore (it's hard to see, but there's no sunroof in the showroom photo) I drove her straight to Webasto in Kirrawee (opposite GT HIgh Performance) and left it there for a few weeks while they did the install. It usually costs $2k but I paid and extra $1k to get the rolled edge which means they have to respray the roof. It also includes the new roof lining. I guess a sunroof is like a turbo.............you can always add one later. 2. The cover is a Kenco Tyvek Medium Station Wagon. I bought it for my R31 but found it fits the Stag as well......just. It's not thick but it still keeps the car body really cool even in the hot sun. Yeah NSW standard plates are fairly ugly. I will be getting personalised ones soon. Cheers

Must've been the day for white C34s. Seen a white C34 260 I think (had personalised NSW plates) at the Caltex at Canberra Airport yesterday (Wednesday) morning. For almost 3 weeks on my way to work each morning (including yesterday) I have seen a white C34 S2 with black front bar and rear left space saver tyre on at Inline Steering Yass Rd Queanbeyan. Must be some major work getting done. Also seen a maroon C34 S1 in the Queanbeyan hospital carpark regularly. Looks very neat all de-badged. A bit late, but I also saw a silver M35 Axis and a grey C34 S2 RSFour in the Summernats carpark on Saturday 7 January this year. I reckon I've seen more Stageas in the last month than I have in the entire previous year in the Canberra region.
  20. Just some random snaps of my Stag. 14 months of awesome ownership.........shared with the bank Day 1 - "Goodbye Stagea buddies" Brushed aluminium trim - one of the things that drew me to this car in the first place, and of course the leather By the seaside Mum's wedding - That's my Sister's "Heaps Sik Vehicle", well, so she reckons anyway At the (quickly melting) snow - Perisher Roof Racks just installed - which I have never actually used 'cause my mountain bike, skis, everything fits in the rear easily. Bush bashing Enjoying the view Protected from the elements - there's no hiding the "boxy" shape under this cover Thanks for looking, cheers.
