R34 Gt-t Recommended Spark Plugs & Leads
Shoujiki replied to MikeR34GTT's topic in General Maintenance
Why are people so rude. I read it as the guy was cleaning something or other with an AFM cleaner. Wether it be the the coil pack contacts or the AFM, i'm not entirely sure. If it wasn't that way, fair enough, but the information I provided was accurate and informative. Is there any need to be a smart ass about it? -
No, the car got defected by Mr Pettett of Knox HWY Patrol. We were waiting for a tow truck.

R34 Gt-t Recommended Spark Plugs & Leads
Shoujiki replied to MikeR34GTT's topic in General Maintenance
The RB engine uses a particular type of Mass Air Flow meter called a "Hot Wire". As opposed to the early Vane or flapper style. It's extremely delicate to physical contact and should never be touched. It's one of the reasons why hot wire MAF's have mesh on both sides. -

Probably use some cotton buds? Definitely don't do that. Any contact with the hot wire will damage it. The spray is all that is required to clean the element. -
Rb25 Neo Exhaust Cam Gear Question
Shoujiki replied to Shoujiki's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Mick I know you said you other car was stock, but does it by any chance have some type of piggyback ECU? Like a daughter board? You'd have to open up the ECU and check. -
Rb25 Neo Exhaust Cam Gear Question
Shoujiki replied to Shoujiki's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ben, Check out my pics of my timing belt. I took them both at the same angles. No way it's a crazy angle causing parallax error. I took the photos from straight on, you can clearly see it was 1 tooth clockwise on the exhaust. And the thing was my motor didn't look like it had ever had a major service done. Really hard to say what to do! Because I have mine set in the "lined up" position now, and i'm unsure if I should change it back! -
Rb25 Neo Exhaust Cam Gear Question
Shoujiki replied to Shoujiki's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hah! Well that's not very good for me Good thing I haven't finished the engine yet. So just 1 tooth forward on the exhaust and all is well? Could this really be a factory Nissan thing? Even though the FSM states to line the marks up. Surely someone else here has done a 34 timing belt? Anyone else seen this? -
Rb25 Neo Exhaust Cam Gear Question
Shoujiki replied to Shoujiki's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
That is very interesting! When i did all of mine, the belt looked like it had never been changed, so that's why I was skeptical it was an error by someone else. Looked all Nissan factory. Haven't started mine yet, so would be keen to see what happens! -
Rb25 Neo Exhaust Cam Gear Question
Shoujiki replied to Shoujiki's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey Mick, I haven't got around to getting the car finished yet, still waiting on a new CAS and then it should be good to go. Strange that your having issues. What exactly is yours doing that is bad? The service manual suggests having the gear line up dead on the marks, and so do the opinions here, makes sense really, i don't know why it would ever need to be 1 tooth more and that info is not in the service manuals. -
Hey guys, As title suggest I have one of these for sale. I bought it to fit on my car but plans have changed and I need to get some other stuff first. So this must go! Regrettably as it looks fabulous. Fitment was great for an aftermarket bonnet, latched up perfect with good even panel gaps. It's a Z Tune style with the middle vents. Has no mesh installed because I was going to fabricate some rain guards for it. Still have the mesh it came with too. Also note it is FG underside and Carbon on top. Comes all wrapped in bubble wrap and wooden corner protectors. I bought this for $850 new so selling for $700. My loss is your gain. Come pick it up in Dandenong North. 041 NINE 387 31 THREE Cheers!

Hey guys, I've got 2 broken plugs on my R34 GTT that I want to replace. The actual plug itself still works ok, but the clips that secures them is snapped. One is the green VCT sensor plug, and the other is the AFM plug. I've asked around for cars being wrecked but as I thought, no one wants to let me chop the 2 plugs off. I've also been to the wreckers and while some plugs are similar, there not exact, and don't fit. What has anyone else done in this situation? I couldn't find any new repair kits for these 2 that I need (only coil pack plugs for Kudo's). Cheers.

Nismo Leather Gear Knob (5 Speed)

Sold. -
Hey guys, Got one of these for sale. Brand new. Only opened the box to check fitment, however I've moved to the idea of a custom (and much more expensive catch tank). So this is no longer needed. Comes with everything as per new. I got it for $110, so say $90 including postage should do it. Or welcome to pickup. Thanks, Kurt.

I couldn't tell you who made it. Looks like a TOG manifold but i bought it from someone else so I can't be 100%. After mocking it up, yes it does mount the turbo in the stock position. -
R34 Op6 Turbo Suit High Flow
Shoujiki posted a topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Got a stock OP6 turbo here for sale. Was told by the previous owner (member here) that is was no good for bolt up use and would suit high flow (which is why i bought it). Doesn't seem to have much shaft play, however the bearings inside may be shot, not sure. If you need pics I can take some, but it's just your average looking OP6, nothing special. $110 Pickup in Dandenong Area. Cheers!
