Didnt know wrx used them. I assumed it was a problem with a boosted engine and the afm's. But if wrx had it cant be the problem. Sigh what to do

Update, No AFM's in australia. Taree nissan shows one but they sold it. Needs to come from japan. 2 weeks...

If anyone needs these afm let me know should be able to get them 190-200 $ + postage

I dint get an engine light from limp mode. Or I do but my globe is out

What sort of smoke? Black = fuel Blue/white= oil White/moisture=coolant Limp mode doesnt cause smoke from my experience

Been through all that. Dry paper / hks panel Doesn't make a difference to it.

Ok I am on my 3rd afm in 6 months.. New one arrived in post today plug it in and it idles for a bit then stalls. Give it gas it cuts out. I tried putting the 2 blown ones in and the car goes into limp with them in. I doubt this part could of died with 0 run time. I'm in ramsgate sydney, does anyone have an m35 I can bring this new afm too, so that I can test to see if the part is or isn't faulty? Tried the fault code thing I can't get it to work. Or my cel is blown.

Yes realise that but im just trying to think of the most logical explanation and that one fits my situaiton to a T. That plus the car was driven for 10km in the rain. I find it hard to believe that it somehow flooded the inside of the car. I have done worse in my s12 gazelle that thing had the computer on the floor with no carpet and holes in the floor 10cm off the ground. Let alone this big white cow. So before i go ripping apart the glove box ect im going to trace the loom and earths ect. Its going to be something simple/small or chances are tomorrow morning it will be fine because its dried out...

There is mechanism why it may not be good.. But its pseudoscience at best no one really knows and there are many people on either side of the fence... Personally i have never run them in any of my drift cars. 20+ psi. Had no dramas.

Thanks I assumed i was looking for something in the engine bay or bhehind a guard where all the sensors met.. But in the actual car itself? I doubt water could of gotten to that.

I just drove through some puddles... Everything is effected from blinkers dash headlights turn on and off i cant control anything. basically nothing seems to be working or is intermittent. It wasnt anything i would call ridiculous. It just rained heavy and drove through some deepish puddles. As someone said on that other forum that the stagea uses a data bus to send signals so if that gets water in it. Then you have to wait for it to dry out. Im not going to go pulling the car apart looking for something i dont even know what it looks like that will just piss me off more.

Just need someone to know where this junction box is so i can seal it and dry it out... Cause i have no clue.
