  1. I'm not too sure if that's possible to work out. If you know the power at the rpm where your torque curve is at its highest, you can calculate the torque with this formula: T(Nm) = P(kW) x 9543 ÷ RPM
  2. Good to hear. I wish mine was a manual. I had to decide between auto series 2 or manual series 1, and chose the auto. Those manuals really push the price up. I'm still not sure if I made the right decision, though. I second the call for pics too. Danny should send you a set of high res ones like mine. BTW Did you end up needing a set of wheels?
  3. Looks like a good day - so who turned up?
  4. Ian, there are 2 horns (aftermarket ones actually - very loud) in the box of random parts I put in the car. My mechanic took them off one day for some reason and I just never put them back on - but they should work just fine.
  5. I can't believe so many people don't care about the effects of gutting cats. I guess this attitude is why our planet is going to shit so quickly.
  6. haha, yeah it certainly would scare the shit out of you if Noface was in your house
  7. haha, well I guess it's not illegal... I better not post the pics from inside his house though
  8. A drive by is totally legal, so it isn't like I'm trespassing on his property or anything. Besides, I haven't actually got my Chaser yet. It's still on its way over
  9. I've always wanted to see how a set of Poncams went in an R34. The Neo engine and it's continously variable valve timing will really take to the extra lift I think. I mean the R34 already comes with a bit extra over an R33 because it can compensate by twisting the cam a bit, so I don't think you'll lose that much down low, but you'll really gain in the mid range.
  10. Please don't implement this idea. I use gmail as my email and the ban on free email accounts is why I barely use OCAU. I have another email address, but I can only check it from certain machines. Gmail is with me everywhere which is why I no longer need or even want POP accounts. If SAU was to follow OCAU here, I'd probably give up posting here since I couldn't have the reply notifications sent to me.
  11. Cool. It's always good to meet other Chaser owners . I would have liked a manual, but couldn't get that and still get a 99 model. Sorry for the late response btw - My net has been down for 6 days now and I've only just resorted to dialup.
  12. Sorry for being so late with this, but I've had no net for 3 days (thanks Telstra/iinet...). Anyway, I've driven past the place a few of times now and each time there's been no lights on at all. So I have no idea whether or not someone lives there, or if the guy just happens to be off somewhere else whenever I'm there (or this thread has him shitscared and he lives with his lights off now). Cheers, Michael PS No stakeout photos guys, sorry
  13. I hate to say what you didn't want to hear as well, but Pentae's right. He'd be far better off getting one of those AWD turbo Bluebirds. Cheaper than doing the conversion and you get AWD for free.
  14. haha yeah, I'll be pretty careful. I'm really just going to drive there, walk past the house and as I do, look in if I can.
  15. Hey Ian, Good to hear from you. How's the car going? I wasn't going to import again, but as you said, I couldn't resist it. I'd always wanted a Chaser and when I saw the one near Nine Ways I knew I just had to get one. I haven't got it yet, it'll probably be quite a while until it does get here. Cheers, Michael
  16. Well, that argument is convincing enough to me I might just have to take my camera along...
  17. OK, I probably won't get a chance to stake the place out (have to work), but whenever I'm around the street (fairly often), I'll drive past it to see if any lights are on and see if anyone is around.
  18. I live 5 mins from this address. I could probably even snap a few shots of the guy - not that they'd be useful or anything, but it'd be just like a stakeout on TV and I've always wanted to do that .
  19. The system cannot find the file specified.
  20. I've got no real suggestions as I think the site is pretty good as it is, but if any changes are done can we please have them tested with Firefox (after looking at Prank's sig I'd say there's a good chance of that)? I've been to a couple of forums where they've screwed around with the menus and they only work in IE.
  21. You're car is already basically on the rubber, yet you want to lower it more? If anything, I'd be considering raising it to stock height to make it practical. I know it looks way better, but it's pretty much inevitable that you'll have more problems the lower you go.
  22. The whole performance car market is just depressed at the moment. Not sure why, but I've noticed people complaining about it on other forums too.
  23. Yeah $8000 is quite a bit of money. I suppose if the compliance shop had a set of Avante lights they could swap those in, but why would they do that when they can just halogenise them and still make just as much money.
  24. Yeah it's a shame about the xenons Do you know the owner of the 100 in Newcastle?
