hey guys, ewan ed etc.... im finally getting broadband *hushed awe* im getting optusnet. basically my dad is with optus with everything else so we get free installation. however he's not forking out the extra $30 per month for unlimited downloads. now im lead to beleive that this will be sh*t because i'll reach my d/l limit in about a day? :spew: so whats the story, how bad will it be? cause theres pretty much no way he's going to pay for unlimited. save your money and buy a house. wait a few more years, sell it, and you'll have made enough to buy a damn nice GTR most likely, or better yet, buy it, rent it out and stay with your folks or rent somewhere cheaper. that way the people renting will basically pay the mortgage for you. thats what i'd do but of course its much more technical than just that.

spotted the black 4dr R33 this morning in belco, jumped in the lanenext to me as i passed him so we could have a chat at the lights. nice guy, he's not on the forums, its an auto with a few things inc, front mount and 13psi. had a run at the lights neither of us really tried cause we both knew i wasnt going to win. damn stock boost!!! also im still shaking from a nearly writing my car off half an hour ago. i was going toward the RSPCA on the cotter rd from the city, was a few hundred metres short of the lights before the turn off to the rspca when an old peice of sh*t bomb going the other way decided to suddenly turn right onto the parkway in front of me, going a little fast, but jammed on my brakes, to avoid absolutely smashing this guy. the back flew out under brakes, i was just very lucky i managed to hold it straight without flipping it. dont seem to have flat spotted the wheels, but there are some pretty huge skid marks at the intersection now. and im still shaking, damn.

bahaha, pettits a dick!!! just go have a look on ns.com for all of the threads flaming him. i havnt seen much done to skylines in the way of guard mods. i'll have to roll mine to accomodate my new superlows, but flarig them properly would be nice, it would be great to have proper wide guards, (read: not bolt ons) that compliment the lines, meh anyway.

spotted at Federal golf club this afternoon, black R32 GTR with simmons rims, plates: GTROOM they were holding a fu**ing wedding behind the 18th green in the 3rd round of the club championships, im so sick of bullsh*t stuff like this happening at my club, its a golf club ffs not a functions centre!!! oh wait, im the only one here that plays golf.....so none of that made sence to anyone......hmmm......im gonna go off somewhere and shout at a wall!!!!

hey guys. just installed a new head unit, schneider scd-8000 the previous owner had informed me that the backlight had recently stopped working, after just installing it it turns out...he's right, lol. so is it possible to fix this problem? he cleaned the connectors but it hasnt fixed the prob, so does anyone know if/how to fix it? also my antenna now permanently stays up when i turn on the unit, as soon as i turn it off it goes down but even when playing cd's it stays up, what have i done? not that the antenna really bothers me. my main concern is the backlight as its already bugging me in the dark.

well, ive fixed it, installed it and its all done and sweet, in regards to the fuse, i had shorted some wires on each other, thus blowing the fuse.

lol another update: it appears im blowing a 1Ov fuse to my battery, anyone know why? and how to stop it?

update: i called BDL car stereo and they told me to connect the acc and power to the + terminal on my battery and the earth to my neg. they said if the unit lit up it was fine, and it lit up, so thats good news. im going to re check ALL my fuses and see if i missed one, i have also rechecked all wiring and there are no probs...... dunno wtf is going on

yeah just checked then, they r fine, blowing the unit is the only conclusion i can come to, but how? i havnt done anything to damage it? only moved a few wires to acheive a better sound, and cant possibly see how ive shorted anything, or done any damage. it must be something else?

hey guys, ive done a search but come up with nadda, ive just tried installing my new head unit (schneider scd-8000) and when i tested it before mounting it in the car it started off very crackly, but i moved the wires around untill it statred sounding fine (must have been a loose connection) once i did this the cd i had in sounded awesome! but everytime i would move wires it would cut out a couple of speakers then power them again and sound bad/good/bad/good/bad etc.. after fiddling for a few more seconds with the wires the unit shut off, no back lights, power, nothing, and wouldnt turn back on again. i didnt worry as i assumed there were a few loose connections with the male/female clips i had been using, so i d/c the battery again and took all of the male/female clips off, then one by one twisted the corresponding wires together then taped them up as pairs, so they would be properly connected and wouldnt short. once this was all done i recconected power turned the ingnition on but got nothing from the stereo. it wouldnt turn on no matter what. i have checked all nescessary fuses (all those to do with accesories and stereo) one fuse was blown but i replaced it and no change(checked fuse again after and it had not blown again) my interior light works fine and i havnt noticed anything wrong with any other part of the car. so what the hell is wrong? all wires are fine, earth is grounded etc... all i can think is there is something wrong with the head unit itself, but i have no idea how this could have happened and what would cause it to shut off altogether??? anyone?
