Drove her to work. New rubber is fantastic.
On a less positive side: One of my wheels has chipped the paint off it, anyone know roughly what price/where i can get slight gutter rash fixed, and fresh paint on all four?
The reading may have been slightly out but it 100% wasn't running more than 7psi (5 might be what it is actually running). There was definately no boost controller as such that i could see. When you take it in to get the testing done just ask a mechanic about it. They will be able to have a peak in more detail.
The vacuum lines run into the cabin but id say thats for the gauge as i had a look for a controller and could not find anything.
I couldn't tell what that thing is. The car has been running more boost as it has a decent size intercooler on it, and an upgraded radiator. Also boost lines that are closed of makes me think it used to have a boost controller (possibly an upgraded turbo that has been reverted to stock. It could quite possibly be a car alarm? but you don't have the imoblizer for it so i don't know.
The car ran very nicely and with the upgrades already there it would be a good platform to start modifying. I suggested to do a comp test and/or a Dyno health check. And if all good mod away!
Hey richard get this... He has a nismo key for it! lol
Honestly if it runs it is a good start. I recommend;
-Do a compression test and a check with a computer (Dyno)
-If all healthy start modding , if not fix issues.
-???
-Profit..?????
I work at the airport so if you like one day this/next week i could come over and take a peak if you.
From those pics i can't tell if the BOV is standard or not as i have not owned a gts-t. Some of the other guys should be able to shed some light?
What are you overly concerned about with the car?
Stockies you can get for dirt cheap pretty much anywhere for around $200. Cheaper even. Im sure someone in ACT will have a set laying around.
Places like ESP, Autotech and Ultimate tunes will do Dyno Diagnostic runs. I have not had one done in ages but i think mine was around $160 mark a few years ago. I highly recommend taking it to one of those shops and throw it on the Dyno with a computer and they can tell you exactly whats wrong with it.
