very nice ride you have here, very beautiful, and beautifully kept. Your project, should you choose.......let's get that rear number plate nice and straight......??? ps...I just came from an R33.....sure I miss the launch/noise of that thing....but not the 'power' as such...V35 has so much more low-down torque that it made my R33 feel a bit 'small'......I can leave my V35 in 3rd gear most of the time! (and I live in the hills)...R33 was always wanting gears...(still loved it though)

a gorgeous example of this model!...well done!! Does the rear camera work ok for you?

don't forget to take the KY.

350gt/cvt8 - No Screen Nor Dvd?
superspit replied to Japav's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Take this man's advice...pleeeeeeeease!! V35 is a great car, even better without the extra electronic gizmo's in it (unless you can get a guarantee that it'll work forever!...mmmm...dunno if that's possible) First mod I did was to have everything with a Bose label on it taken out, and a 2Din kit put (screen out aswell/storage box put in it's place) so I could do my own thang...and the one you've seen is already done! (spec'd from factory or dealer?...who cares) But the CV8?.....please research it!...lot's of V35's coming on-line now!!..Lot's to choose from! -
cool, thanks man. Can you believe that I've still got the original Jap battery in my car....I managed to find the date stamp!...(but could not read the CCA rating of this battery.) (sorry for digressing, just thought you'd be interested in that!).....I managed to track down a 330CCA with correct power-pole postion and size, ..I reckon that will be ok for my v35...would you agree Chris? Spit.....now waving the 'wave no-banners' banner.
-
Thanx Chris.....so it's the same as the black keys....minus the magical buttons! Thought that was the case...thanx buddy! Spit.....still waving the CR banner.

Battery Form-factor For V35 Coupe. (?)
superspit replied to superspit's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
thanx mate.....I found a batt at Repco (330cca, correct posts and position/dimensional size) for a hundgey and 35 bucks. I found my old R33 batt (270 CCA) and I remember that doing just fine!.(it's dead now)..think I'll go with the Repco one. -
no problemo!..He'll just flatten it first.

Car seems to lose it's charge, over a couple of days, if I don't drive it everyday, (which I don't)...Jump start see's it going well.....charges nicely.....not exactly a great battery anyway, doesn't turn over real nice....jump starts are ace! (no, I don't think it's the alt diode-packs!)..(checked 'car-off' current draw, it was negligible)). Now...to try and find a battery....I believe that 400-420 CCA should do it.......problem is, all the batts I looked at today are 330 (in the same form factor) or have large posts....or are on the wrong side (pos left, neg right) I have a massive battery in the Festiva...480 CCA!!!, might have a go at modding the posts on that!..(er..nahhh, maybe not) I'll keep looking!...(um..with your help?) ps...battery looks like the ridgey-didge one!!!..all script in Nipponese!

Common Problems With The Coupe
superspit replied to T88turbo's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
haha...yep...happened to me last nite....battery went dead (orig Jap batt)...lights wouldn't turn off,..figure that the relays don't have enough charge to 'de-energize', hence it sticks. Now...to try and find a battery....I believe that 400-420 CCA should do it.......problem is, all the batts I looked at today are 330 (in the same form factor) or have large posts. I'll keep looking! -
Skyline 350 Gt Exhaust For Sale
superspit replied to johnr's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Hang in there buddy,.....it's a shit time of the year to sell stuff.....people tend to be pretty broke at the mo! (Including moi!) -
I now know, for a fact, that the fuel tank capacity of the V35 Coupe 6mt is exactly........................... somewhere between 65 and 90 litres.

Personalised Plates For Your 35 Ride?
superspit replied to superspit's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
hahaha!..Rock-on mate!! -
ok, cool. Now we just got to figure out if a 'head-scratching' police officer is worth more than the $500 plus he'll make you spend on nothing. Cheers man. Spit.

Hi Raik... hijack away...it's your forum!! (at the risk of getting flamed back to hell, I'll continue) Do nothing! .....(just my advice).... If I may, can I suggest that you keep your IC as stock as possible.....it will save you on legal drama's....(which are only going to get worse), and way more expensive to rectify, by you, the 'so-called' hoon. (which mostly, we are not!!) In my experience, your car will see little or no benefits (you may even go backwards in performance).... unless you plan on racing it.....in which case you'll need to look for a better gearbox, wheels and brakes, ecu, fuel system, oil system...etc etc.etc.$$$$$$$$$$$ If you plan on racing, please let me know, and I will become a fan instantly....if not, save your dosh and go for mods that will enhance the braking and handling performance of your vehicle....Make it look sharp, have a look at some nice fuel pumps, get some nice wheels for it (if u haven't already, that are legal), get your car optimised with a tune on a dyno..(guys are gaining 20-50 rwkw by just servicing their cars!!) There is no such thing as 'stealth' anything...and we have proved that again within this forum....the police now know what to look for, and they aren't getting any easier on us!.....(they have a job to do, and by god, they'll bloody well do it!) Just as a side note RaikKonen, my R33 with standard IC was actually faster than my brother's current R34 (this threads originator) .....(Luke, say nothing!).....at legal freeway speeds...maybe on a race track, things would be different, I'll never know though. Anyway, I hope that I don't get 'flamed' over my writing, but it was a bloody hassle and quite draining (for my little bro) to get such a simple thing checked and verified as safe...not to mention the cash and my own personal time to organise an engineer.... But that's what we get when we own these things, then try to mod them to some stupid 'rice' spec, which can sometimes makes the car worse!!!..and definately make the police target you, even moreso! Anyways...please enjoy, and I hope this thread has opened some realities, while squashing some bullshit! My bro and I started this thread to help newer/younger Line owners, and in some small way, give something small back to this community, our Skyline community. Cheers, Spit.

-
yep..do that...talk 2nite. (wot's your email addy again?...just sms it to me)...we must be boring the shit outta people here by now.
-
Hi Al.....at this stage, no....but we'll have a greater insight after tmrw. (it's not structural, from the little bit of investigation work I saw, engineer will check it though, thoroughly) Luke, I have your car back at my place...(that thing is the shit, though my back is farking killing me now)...just drive the Festiva to moms house, put the wheels back on the 34, then I'll take the 34 back for tmrw morning. (give me all your paperwork too). Hopefully we'll sort out the travel to and from engineers. (for me!)

Good advice JJboo...! I guess he's just doing his job... and we're all so emotionally attached to our rides! (makes things so much more 'engaging'). I gave my brother some advice a couple of nights back, to do with comm skills in this very situation, appears to have worked. Cheers.
-
hey..you're a good fella!...drop into the court one of these evenings....be good to catch up and talk shit! Cheers mate!.
-
Hi....could you please PM Luke with a price....that would be ace!...(just in case)!!!

Lukey..I know you know that I feel your pain right now....and you have a good crew of friends here already assisting you with advice....and as scary as some of it is, it's not insurmountable. I'll help you get through this, and so will your friends here too bro. (whether we sell or fix the car!!) I know you feel pretty down right now, it's a gorgeous machine, and as long as you still love it, we'll fix it. Have you rang Tony yet? Has the Silvia been fixed yet, (you may need it for a few days, or you can borrow my Festiva).
