  1. I am also in said suburb. So many burnout marks everywhere, is good. And you are right Sin, organisation is everything. Thankfully I'm in a position to get a bit of help with organising and have a few people that have also wanted to see this show take off and are ready to give it 110%. Fingers crossed it is a good turn out and we don't have too many dramas.
  2. Exactly this. There are enough Japanese car clubs and what not around the ACT to make this happen. Even if only say 10 cars from each make turned up, there would still be at least 60 to 70 cars. Which is a pretty decent show.
  3. Everything and anything Japanese, even some bikes might come along too! Can't edit original post, but here is a link to the facebook group. Join it for regular updates and invite your friends. https://www.facebook.com/groups/743576332355439/
  4. Hi Everyone, Just putting it out there, I am thinking of organising an All Japanese Car Day in the ACT. At this stage we currently don’t have any sort of Japanese car day in the ACT and I haven’t heard much in the way of anyone wanting to organise anything. As the title suggests, this would be a show and shine that is open to ANY Japanese cars, regardless of year, make or model. At this stage I will be taking any interest and ideas regarding where we should hold the events. As for a time during the year, I am thinking around March next year, but am open to suggestions. A few ideas of the venue have been suggested, these suggestions are: Train yard in Kingston Ron Terrace (down by the lake off Parkes Way) Old Parliament House Lawns The usual formalities apply, any anti social behaviour i.e. burnouts, hooning etc will not be tolerated. You will be asked to leave the venue immediately and will not be allowed back to any future events. At the end of the day, we already have a bad rep for owning this particular type of vehicle, let’s not make it worse and potentially jeopardise holding these events in the future. Ideally we are trying to organise this so no entry fees/display fees are needed to be charged. It’s still early days, so my question is will people be willing to pay a small entry fee, possibly no more than $10. This will basically cover public liability insurance, possible hire fees and bonds etc. In the case of any money being left over it will be donated to charity. Feel free to post up any ideas or queries regarding the event. This will be posted on multiple car forums, i.e Ausrotary, React, Performance Forums, Toymods, SAU etc. If you feel this should be posted on another forum or facebook group, feel free to do so. If you could flick me a message advising what forum you have posted on, that way I can keep track of possible participants. Although the event will be held in the ACT, we welcome and encourage any interstate participants.
  5. We are having another Cars and coffee day this weekend (tomorrow if fact, Saturday 23rd August) I don't get on here much, due to the lack of not owning a skyline anymore, so my apologises for the late notice. The coffee isn't free this time, but we will donate $3 to beyond blue for each cup of coffee sold. Same deal as last time, informal car display. Come along to have a chat and drink some coffee.
  6. For sale, Gtst Skyline. Located ACT. Asking $7500 ono, overall a straight and tidy car. Rego runs out at the end of the month, but happy to negotiate to put more on with buyer. Check gumtree ad for more info. I'm selling because I have found another car that I have wanted for a while and the owner has finally decided to part with it. Sorry for the half assed topic, pm for more info. http://www.gumtree.c...oupe/1046251500 **$6000 if sold this weekend, 11/05/2014
  7. Just noticed that I posted the wrong link. Yeah it will be sad to see it go, but you should see the next car very purrdy indeed.
  8. My skyline is for sale, $6k firm if sold this weekend. Check gumtree ad, or pm for more details or photos. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/bonython/cars-vans-utes/1993-nissan-skyline-r32-gtst-m-spec-coupe/1046251500
  9. ^^ This, or wrap electrical tape around the top of the bottle where the cap would go. Makes it nice and snug, and doesn't leak out. Which reminds me, I should probably bleed mine again.
  10. Can you post a pic of the headlights? Or pm me one. Where abouts are you located.
  11. Since there was a bit of a turn out last open we had, we figured lets do it again! Where: Shannons Canberra Branch 20/2 Yallorn St Fyshwick (directions below) When: 31st May 2014 Same as last time, a informal car display so you can come and go as you please. Not like other shows where you are locked in until 2pm. There will be a coffee van, and I think the Celica club may be doing a BBQ again. Also, coffee is free again Directions: If you know where the United servo is in Fyshwick (for those of you running e85 you should know) we are located just behind that. Easiest way to get into the carpark, turn onto the driveway inbetween the car wash, and the British Paints shop and head straight up and see the giant green Shannons sign. There will be plenty of signage around for the driveway.
  12. Since this was pretty successful, we are planning on having another one in May. I'll make a separate thread for those who are interested.
  13. Are you willing to separate parts off this? I need the corner indicators and left headlight assembly.
  14. The brake pedal is still a little bit squishy, but that might be due to the few vacuum leaks. Vacuum leaks suck lots. (hehe so punny)
  15. Put these goodies in tonight. Very noticeable difference to the braking. So now it stops good, next thing on the list is making it handle good.
  16. Am I too late? Or too early? Thought I'd cruise out, but no one is here.
  17. Yes please, I don't know if mine is kaput, because its running a bit rich. Or some vacuum leaks is causing it to idle rough and run rich.
  18. Sorry about the iPhone spec photos. I don't have a decent camera.
