Still trying to come, might be late so will try to catch up.

Does anyone have any info to offer on these? http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=10268&Car_Type=G37&UID=20131222003640110.32.50.110 Look like they could be a nice direct replacement.

Would love to come on my first SAU cruse. The route map is not working for me?

I'm looking for opinions and experience with minor exhaust mods to improve the note of the V36, I don't just want to go loud. I'd like a slightly louder note and used to love the low tone I used to get out of my NA 300zx. As this is a daily I don't want to replace the whole exhaust and make it too loud and I'm not really looking for performance, 235kw is plenty. I've you tube'd a bunch of clips and am pretty confident new cats will do the trick, and give a nicer slightly louder note. But I want to check with the locals, who agrees? I wanted to get the Kinetix cats and install them with my stock system.

Bah, just saw this. I'm turfing the garden tomorrow. Dang. Next time, have fun.

Chris has fixed the lot, thanks. Chris the auto retract seat function is just turned on an off by holding the set button on the door till the lights on 1 and 2 buttons flash then go out.

Ive checked every fuse on the car and they are all ok, including the ipdm fuses. Just had another look and there still seems to be some power to the harness on other wires. Perhaps the repair is a simple bypass of the wire I fried? Chris will try to get the missus to bring the car up during the week.

Cleaned them up this weekend and replaced the gaskets. Now there is no longer any stick throttle. Now wait to see if it has improved the fuel economy. Idle seems a bit high though, 800rpm, can't remember what it was before I cleaned them but the workshop manual says 650rpm at idle in N.

Do you mean I've fried something as in a circuit board or just a fuse somewhere?

auto seat and streering column system to working, still works but only manualy. Rear vision mirror retracting button also not working.

SO I bought another band expander this time with a power wire. Connected the power wire to the violet cable on one of the hard drive harnesses that showed 12v when ACC on. Check with multi meter and there was power to the band expander when acc on. Put it all back together and I have no radio signal at all. To make thinks worse i pulled it appart to check again but had been fiddleing round with the multimeter in between. Wen I checked again with the multimeter from the body of the radio housing to the power wire there was a tiny spark now I have nothing in the centre consol working. No ac, no dispay on the touch screen and no radio. I've checked all the fuses I can find, drivers foot well and near the battery, all fine. Please help.

Well I was wrong. The fix only seemed to work because where the car is parked in the garage seems to get good reception. As soon as I drive around it comes in and out.

I'm interested. -
Thanks for the link. Looks like no problem so long as I leave all connectors in place.

I'm planning to clean the throttle bodies on my V36, it has 109,000k's on it and when I cleaned them on my 300zx it made a world of difference, much smoother and idles better. I don't have any concearns about the method of how to clean them, however I did read something about the electronic throttles possitioning getting stuffed up during the cleaning process. Can anyone elaborate on this, it is true? Can it be prevented? How is it rectified? Thanks Max.

Ok so problem solved. I was correct, the missing wire in the band expander is required. I was able to diconnect the existing wire from the existing harness and connect it to the new harness. Then connected the band expander using the OEM plugs and Bobs your uncle, I now have a working radio. I have photos but photo bucket is not works. Also if anyone is thinking of buying from Synergy there is nothing wrong with this product. You can still make it works plug and play. Also might I add their customer service is great.

Car Financing For V36 Import

Well good news, looks like Bankwest will re-finance for me. The car must be comprehensively insured though. -
I have search high and low on both this forum and G35driver and can't find the V36 workshop manual for downloading. Can someone point it out for me. I'm sure there must be one available. Thanks. Max

Well I moved the expander housing to behind the HU instead of next to it and the relays. Thought the relays may have been interfeeing with the reception, no. Didn't fix the problem. But after I had put it back together I though I'd check the expander was connected properly. It was, but what I noticed which I didn't notice when I installed it, is that the stock wire harness connector has three wires and the band expander only has two. So I'm guessing that this wire that is missing from the band expander is some sort of AC power wire. Hence I have the same problem most have where the power to the antenna is not properly connected. More research is needed. Need to install a wire on the band expander to try it out. Original harness. It's the large black wire (near my thunmb) that is missing from the band expander. The band expander harness

Car Financing For V36 Import

pretty sure I tryed Bankwest. Called them before I bought the car and they wouldn't give me the loan because it was an import and not in the country yet or registered, they also told me they couldn't refinance later even if they did give me the loan. Worth trying again though, sometimes it depends who you talk too.
