  1. The Kat sat on the mat. The Kat was also seen driving down the Monaro on the way to Hume. Question begs...why was the Kat going to Hume. Is the rumour of a new exhaust true???
  2. Hi Nam Can you confirm the money went through this time please? Should well and truly be there by now. Cheers
  3. hard to tell from the pic but those calipers look smaller than the F40/50 type you'd need to use 360mm discs. what diameter are the discs on the donor car?
  4. in the latter case i expect that an engineers cert would not be granted if the issuer wanted to keep their accreditation.
  5. talk to matt at hitman injection tuning. he can tune it to pass through emissions testing - likes haltech too - and has access to people who can make the catch can etc legally installed ie plumb back. also ask him who can do an engineer's report for the mods. my report was $600 plus $1000 for the tune - bugger all compared to the cost of making it stock all over again and having stock performance.
  6. matt at hitman tuning in penrith. i had a fairly pricey tune from a well recommended place and ran into 'problems'. payed matt a $1000 flat fee for emmisisons tune / certification, and another $250 to tidy up the top end (that included dyno as well as about 2 hours of road tuning so i got a lot for my money). ended up with a safe tune, more power, good economy and driveability, and legal. all he does is tune - rb / rotor / 2j /v8 etc. should have gone there first, would've been a hell of a lot cheaper and more productive.
  7. PM sent re console surround and ashtray. cheers
  8. jb +1. i have a 26/30 with 336rwkw, a JB 'full monty' clutch with organic pressure plate, and no slip.
  9. I always thought the pressure was required to keep the rear rack centred, and hence the need for a hard lock if you disable it. I removed all the crap from mine - lines etc and lost about 20 kg of highly expensive junk as well as creating extra ps fluid capacity. Was going to fit a shorter R33 pump but it's well down the list of things to do.
  10. Fark, a speeding ticket as well as being made sterile and glowing in the dark. Time to break out the alfoil suit. As long as it doesn't reflash my ecu!!
  11. two ways to interpret a Hicas warning: 1. there is a system fault 2. it's time to replace it altogether with a lock so it handles better. mine didn't have a fault but i went to 2 anyway. hope you find the issue. Cheers
  12. 10K km at the most. Dampers only. New $1260, I'm asking $900 but will negotiate. Can supply threaded coil-over height adjusters also. PM me if you're interested. Cheers
  13. staggered sizes are OK, different rolling diameter front to rear is what messes them up. bargain price too.
  14. definitely on the right track with bleeding the attessa but make sure you get hold of an R32 manual if you don't know how to use the pump to presure bleed the system, gravity bleed doesn't work. Trojan can do it for you if you need them to. i've got some Trust front pipes that I want to shift if you're interested in uncorking it.
  15. don't mess around just get alloy pipe. if you pick up standard hard pipes the plenum side really just needs 38mm extra added in the middle and the turbo side needs a little bit of fiddling but any fabricator worth their weight can do it.
  16. Good point. The guy who tuned it here said a 2.8 stroker he did - albeit without the deck height - had 12 deg and loved it. Presumably the 3.0 will want more.
