FARK I LOVE RALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The view from my seat on Longley @ TWP... Watch for the *OH FARK* moment 1.40 in
-
big time plus one Shell i think I need to look closer cos I only see blokes in (wrong way) too tight suits with beer guts when I'm at EC?
-
Bit iffy unfortunately (for those who like to read the rules to the letter to bend them) because I don't recall seeing a bulletin? From the regs..... 18. Cutting Corners Any competitor who is observed taking a line that results in a complete tyre (front and / or rear) passing beyond the white line on pre-determined corners and thus leave the tarmac surface will receive a penalty as follows: • First Observed Offence: 30 seconds • Any further offence will be the first offence plus 30 seconds for each subsequent offence These locations will be advised in a bulletin.

Congrats to everyone for making it through in one piece, even if some of the cars didn't. Big tick for Roy for finally getting some balls and jumping into the *real* seat of a rally car Brilliant to see Dan on the podium - I have a choice photo of Dan & his champagne which I'll have to post later on (unless a suitable bribe comes my way today) And hey how good was one Mr Stuart Benson in his first run at Clerk of Course?!
-
Thanks young Benny- shame we won't be seeing you down there in the near future
-
haha makes me smile too
-
Need to read through the regs more but it looks one of the mighty Handley mobiles might be entered afterall I'd tell you what, but then I'd have to kill you ...but its not the 32
-
For what it's worth- he was off to buy you a case to try to make up for that little fark up, but got side tracked. Stuff ordered gets followed up quicker than smart normally, but race meets screw with the brain and the planning. Feel sorry for the poor chick married to him

Sure this is standard Nissan ducting Mr Scruitineer... Is there nothing race tape (plus cardboard and a texta) cannot do? I'll let Duncan post (cry) about today's racing (mis)adventures. Long story short the overheating problem is far from solved. The race one start was the day's highlight though - Duncan pulled off a great launch from 5th on the grid, followed by a quick trip round the outside onto the grass to get past a pesky ute, and in the lead by turn one Also managed the fastest lap (we think) and his best time to date for the Oran Park GP - a 1:19.4568. Shame the rest of the meet was a write off. bloody skylines.
-
The toilets at Oran Park are mighty fine, so fine in fact I actually thought twice about taking the knickers off to use them today
-
Doesn't look like the new fangled radiator has done the trick. Didn't finish the qualifying session thanks to overheating. Still managed 5th on the grid for tomorrow though.

Looks like Duncan left the skirt at home this morning afterall... -
Hey Benny Woo- Me and the potato man have a message for you...
-
I know you're all already fearing the 125kW of mighty MX5 powah!
-
That's a bugger Ben - worth looking out for the Tarmac Mag sponsorship if they run it again this year? well I'm now official for Wrestpoint, in the mighty MX5 http://targawrestpoint.com.au/Competitors/...p;comp=Showroom - yes, i REALLY need to do something about that blue steel profile pic I think you'll be on the same boat as the Redback Racing guys Dan? I unfortunately will just be flying straight in and out thanks to work commitments - shame because the boat trips always a bit of fun!
-
my posts teasing Stu about his car are coming back to haunt me all going well you'll see me there in an MX5...
-
Looks like I'll be seeing Dan and Snowy at Targa Wrestpoint afterall - entered to nav today! Anyone else heading down?

Definitely the most important thing as it's not a road to be messed with as many discovered, including our mates in the TR7: TR7 Off @ Buller They were pretty lucky- just stuck on the bank with no actual damage to the car. They did have a moment though when the exhaust heated up some dry leaves! -

Ahh thanks again for that and sorry we didn't know you were there - would have been good to catch up with another SAU-er! So you were supporting Danny Cerro and Bianca in the Evo? We were speaking to those guys toward the end and they were really bringing down their times (dropping a minute from memory?).
