  1. Redline: I'll come get you. Will give you a buzz later in the week to work out where/when. All - have arranged for 30 or so SAU URL window decals. I'll have them on the day - a couple of $$ a pop. Just come find me on the day. Ash: If you still have them, can you bring the remaining MAS t-shirts? I'll bring tongs & Bar-B-Mate. Rob and I can get snags, sauce, onions - anything else?
  2. 21! Happy birthday! I feel old now
  3. Yeah - what Snowman said. I got sunburnt too
  4. Haha - Like Rezz sez - perspective 101. I have the article - it's the real deal.
  5. Dang. That's one hell of a pretty sunset.
  6. Monkey: Cruise is a good idea - and yeah, just set the date - Sat 20th. Again - if anyone needs lifts, please let me know. J
  7. Last couple of times we'e met at Sth Yarra Shell - on Toorak Rd, just before Chapel St. Say 9.00am?
  8. Al - I'm happy to give lifts to Nath and Ash. It's Christmas after all As stated earlier - if someone wants to borrow the Lada to help carpool some people - send me a PM.
  9. Bugger - here I am trying to be cutting edge and all... Oh well. Whilst I'm being off the pace... here's a pic of the engine...
  10. Hooray for Rezz! Thanks for that Any clues as to who makes the cam-cover? The Nagisa R34's other carbon bits seem to be from AutoSelect - but no sign of carbon RB26 on their site They do have canards though - which are pretty nifty. And anyone who calls their front lip a 'Devil Spoiler' is OK in my book!
  11. Haha Funky! I asked Santa nicely... but somehow I think it may not make it this year Looks really cool - the car that this is from looks great. Trying to find website/more info on it...
  12. With my limited Japanese skills - the article mentions nothing about power output - just saying how they fashioned the guards from fibreglass. Seems Garage Make T&E were involved - also TBO? Cost = 150,000 yen
  13. A carbon plug/rocker/cam cover for the 'ol RB26 is now number one on my list for Santa! The blue paint makes it look even better! Mmmm.
  14. The jury is still out on the whole good/bad thing - but it's different to say the least! Is packing an RB20DET too.
  15. Rezz - if only I could make it over there... you are a true ambassador. On behalf of all SAU - I salute you!
  16. Looks like Elwood's the place! And... just to be selfish - I'd prefer Sunday
  17. RedR32 - Essentially the club formation was to facilitate a more formal organisation of events for 'social' members. The financial side of things was to stop singular members being left out-of-pocket for promotional items or events. The membership fee essentially pays for a shirt, lanyard and sticker - leaving a bit in the kitty to support these forums, and assist with events like AutoSalon. Ash and Shan have put in a lot of effort researching the Taxation and NPO side of things - and as stated will confirm all the requirements with an accountant. We also investigated the requirements for CAMS affiliation, and decided that, at this stage, it was unnessecary. NDSOC kindly offered to notify us of their events - and anyone keen to participate can do so under their rules. The club committe was formed (originally) with the forum moderators and now includes other proactive members who have been involved with cruises and other events over the past 12 months. There will be an AGM sometime in the new year - but, in the interests of getting the ball rolling, the positions were nominated and have mostly been filled - for now. We prepared an FAQ back in October - which was available for viewing and for comments to be made. It might have been lost during the server crash - so I have attached it to this post. Again - thanks for your comments, it's good to get some feedback and queries from people. Rest assured - everyone wants to make sure this all gets done correctly
  18. Redline - and anyone else - don't let a lift stop you from coming. If we do it on Sunday - Rob: I'll give you a lift
  19. OK - shall we get confirmations going on before we open it up to all? Which day - Sat 20th, or Sun 21st? I know Sat was originally discussed - but we tend to have more success getting people along on Sundays. Is there a BBQ at Elwood beach carpark? Obviously parking is easy there - but we need to confirm cooking facilities. Other possible location is the Yarra next to Botanical Gardens. Again, ample parking and good BBQs. I think - yes - for open invitation. Also - yes - for BYO, but we could easily do a pool of sausages/chicken etc and collect some donations on the day (like the pre MAS one at BMT). Would be good to get all this confirmed by Thurs of this week so there is ample time for people to arrange themselves to be able to come along. James
  20. That 'no H pattern' one is a joke. Might as well bust you for not resetting your clock to daylight saving time...
  21. Haha Rezz - I always knew we were a little off the pace... Oops. Must say though - I like the idea of the CF radiator plate and exhaust surround...
  22. I think so - good thing to get everyone together. Are we confirmed for the Sat - or is Sunday better?
  23. Carbon Kevlar is where it's at! Final Motion in Japan - http://www.final-motion.com - have all sorts of CK parts for your car. Sure it's not cheap, and the yellow looks a little iffy - but it's pretty cool stuff. Kevlar console lid anyone? Apparently you can also get CF and CK rocker/cam/plug covers for your RB26! Screw the weight advantage, that's gotta look cool!
  24. Haha - my respect for your brutal honesty know no bounds. Wardest: A true Australian hero
  25. Haha - it worked for Boris Yeltsin
