  1. was that some dudes behind SAU? Yeah.. me and trdz decided to drown them out with our own bass, and they gave us a wtf look LOL
  2. I can comment on the Blitz having owned one previously (i've gone back to stock solenoid/nistune remap/r32 actuator now). As you say, with the DSBC, it goes on %duty cycle. The DSBC has 4 settings, not including off. There's an overboost feature, and a retard boost feature. It's a dual solenoid, so goes up to around 2.5bar so it's highly recommended for twin turbo big boost applications. The downside is that the dual solenoid is huge so it's a little hard to keep hidden in your engine bay. The only reason why the blitz would be noisier would be because boost is built earlier. There's also the price difference. The DSBC Spec R is a lot more expensive than the Profec. But, I was looking at TypeVu's Profec install today, and one thing I do like about it is that it's really easy to keep it all stealth especially with the neat solenoid unit.

  8. Should be around $80 from wreckers.
  9. I'm about 90% sure it's the boost sender unit. The unit is located close to the firewall on the drivers side in your engine bay. It has a vacuum pipe running from your plenum to it, and has something like a three pin plug connected to it. To swap it over it quite simple.. buy a second hand good unit, unscrew the bolt holding it on, take off the vacuum hose and three pin plug, then attach to the new unit. (reverse to install). Hope that helps.
  10. Nistune remap ftw I love mine.

  14. I don't see anything wrong with running 19's on a skyline, even though I run 18's myself. It all comes down to so many other factors, offset/track/camber/tread/construction material.

  21. Doesn't sound to me like there'll be a long term solution... unless you want to go through the hassles of having your car engineered, then the new engine number assigned to the vehicle. I'd personally sell the car between now and feb, and pick something up here... it'll save you alot of headaches.

I called TransportSA recently when I was defected. I was told they no longer issue these permits. I had the girl confirm it with her manager, he said as your car is technically still not roadworthy it can't be driven and that loop hole had be closed. Looks like they lied to me those pricks.
