  1. Just tested voltage at my battery Engine switched off, battery was at 12.5v Idle 14.3v 3000rpm 17v 5000rpm 17.4v Is that about right? Doesnt seem like the alternator is stuffed

  3. Because he is a champ He had a mk2 Triumph sedan built for SCCA racing in the late 70's, it had the body sectioned and dropped below the chassis floor. Cool guy, he had cool ideas

Adrian I know that standard height is pretty much optimum on the DRs, and I already have my front bar scraping everywhere, but it really does look like a 4wd compared to almost every other DR30 I see on the road. I dont want super-low, just a tad lower. Its not like I'm a modifying nut, I've had it for over 2 years now and I havent even put a boost guage on it to see what standard boost is, let alone raised the boost. Maybe I'll just leave lowriding for the Triumph... Oh yes, that shall be loooooow

  8. I've been thinking... Everyone is using S13 coilovers to get low and run meatier brakes. I'm not huge on the idea of my car needing bigger brakes, but I would like to see it sitting slightly lower. I could do this via lower springs for my DR30 struts but maybe I could swap to standard S13 struts. I know that those who have swapped to S13 coilovers have said that they need to have the coilovers set almost as high as they will go yet their Skyline still sits really low. I'd assume thats because the S13 struts are shorter? So will standard S13 struts fit in a DR30 using the same bits as the coilover conversion, and will the R32/R33 brakes fit on a standard strut the same as on the coilover?

  10. Hmm... thinking about it, the boxes from my belts are still in dads shed i think. I put something else in them. Shane, I dont remember it being overly difficult to get the belt into the hanger bit

  12. Is the alternator the same as any other Nissan/Datsun one? I'd rather have as few dealings with auto electricians as possible, never met one yet that wasn't a complete rip-off merchant and a wanker to boot. Where did you get yours rebuilt?

  15. The last few days I've had ALL the warning lights flash on at night. I've had good oil pressure, plenty of oil, good engine temps, nothing seems to be wrong... It has mainly happened when either trning hard, or accelerating hard. ALL the lights come on, even the spare tyre light and windscreen washer light... Anyone else had this happen? I'm guessing theres a loose wire somewhere maybe?
  16. Nah we havent seen it since, he sold it to some wog I think, its probably either got 19 inch chromies and airbrushing or been wrapped around a tree
  17. He sold it because he's a douche... Bought an Integra because the Skyline was "too expensive to run".... then the Intergra was stuffed so he bought a CA18DE Silvia with a stuffed engine.... put a bloody SR20DET in it then sold it because it was rubbish, and finally bought a MX5 Clubman. The Skyline was way better than any of the others (except maybe the MX5) I've got a feeling it was an 85, it would just have a PNV coupe model code, same paint code as my car, trim code would be the same as Zapata's car.

  19. My friend who lived in the house behind mine bought a PNV on almost exactly the same day I bought my DR lol. His was mint, all white, silver and black interior and it had the signatures

  21. I've got about 9 kits from hlj downstairs that I need to finish before I order any more. Need to redo my stock DR30 because the black rub strips look crap, theres another 1 or 2 stock DR's, a Jenesis DR, a HR31 coupe, a hakosuka, a two door and a 4 door 240K race cars, a KE70 that is going to get some deeeeeeeeeep dish Watanabes that are supposed to be for Testarossas or something, S5 RX7, early Soarer (done the shell, sparkly apple green). I think thats it. Might redo my V8 S13 sometime too

  25. Completely colour coded bars would look shite unless its to fit in with the black/grey bottom half of a two-tone
