  1. What did you decide to do with the motor? I am chasing a cheap/damaged RB20DET for a tear down.
  2. How much for all the RB20DET sensors and can you list them.
  3. I'd take the loom, ECU and sensors if that was the case
  4. ECU, Loom and all EFI sensors?
  5. Interesting...Maybe I just wasted a little bit of cash then. You dont by any chance have a way of working these things out by the model/serial numbers do you? Ah geez, I just realised that in my haste I dont know if my ECU is from a AT or MT R32. I have searched the serial number and can confirm it is a Type M but cant confirm AT or MT. Bloody dumb move. It is a 23710-11U00 MEC-R212 ECU if anyone knows EDIT: Thank god, acoording to this site: http://www.hks-power.co.jp/products/electr...on_sz_data.html its a 89-93 MT ECU. I want to confirm though.
  6. could you explain: PTU = ? GTS25 R32 = RB25DE ? and then it would make more sense to me, thanks for the info I picked up an R32 GTST Type-M ecu pretty cheap today, but the problem at home is I have RB25DE sensors and loom. I have heard people have trouble with this combo but i have no concrete info. It is going to be pretty hard to find the GTST EFI loom and sensors for sale on their own I imagine.
  7. UPGARAGE pretty much laughed at me when they worked out I was looking for PGZ31 parts...but I didnt manage to walk out with good condition used R32 RB20DET ECU and a MOMO Race steering wheel, two items not on my to do list. Ther seemed pretty reluctant on using their fantastic eomputer network to find me a Z32 AFM as well, although they had heaps of GTR ones for Y2990. Anyways, can anyone suggest where I should look for PGZ31 parts, i.e cars being wrecked etc? even if I have to get them to freight it across to Toyota city. I have found quite a few whole cars for sale which under normal circumstances I would just buy and strip for the prices they sell for, but I am quickly running out of time in this visit and am unsure if I am returning after Christmas. I did contact the seller of the engine in the above posted auction, he was willing to part out the motor but not any of the main bits I wanted being the sump and mounts. Thanks guys
  8. Do you own or can you borrow a multimeter? Those systems to my knowledge are unrelated, so start probing the contacts in the doors and work your way back to find the fault. Perhaps there is wiring harness damage in the cabin to door grommet.
  9. OK, does anyone feel kind enough to contact this seller at [email protected] and see if he will part out the engine? My nihongo is non existent. I will pay pretty much the value of the motor for a few of the parts freighted to either Toyota or Hamamatsu cities: 200ZR Sump with oil pick up EFI loom with all the sensors on the ends ECU if available 200ZR Engine mounts and any other small bits of any value like the BOV etc It would only be fair that I will also pay some sort of finders fee to anyone who can help me out, the less the parts go for the bigger the finders fee. Thanks guys.
  10. Are the R32 RB25DE ROMs equally as remappable as the R32 RB20DET and just as suitable as each other when remapped to run the RB30DET?
  11. Yep, straight through cannons dont do much at all. A straight through centre-offset muffler will be worlds quieter than any "cannon" and flow almost the same. As for the broom sticked cat comment :thumbdwn:
  12. There was a thread a week or two ago on noise, try some of the stuff suggested in there.
  13. and they are there for a reason i.e. fuelling the car?
  14. OEM bonnets are designed to be part of the crumple zone which spreads an impact longer over time reducing the force on the passengers. If the bonnet is weaker, it weakens the crumple zone. If the bonnet is stronger, it wont crumple and will go through the windscreen taking your heads off with it. I dont see the point really but thats just me. I dont have a purple atmo venting BOV either so I guess you can tell where I am coming from.
  15. There are still no pictures
  16. In practice, what is the maximum power achieved with 444cc GTR injectors? I am searching through the forums right now, but may as well ask at the same time. Reason being, I am going shopping for some parts on the weekend and there doesnt seem to be much price difference between R34 GTR injectors or aftermarket 550cc injectors here in Japan, so I could go either way. I do not want excessively large injectors though and my realistic power goal is 250rwkw from my RB30DET. Opinions on this choice with fuel economy and idle in mind? EDIT: Found it ~270rwkw. Opinions still welcome.
  17. Disconnect brake lines as well when you remove the strut assembly?
  18. I have been watching this car do laps several times on local Tv and had no idea what the whole show was on about You should see the batteries, its like a whole floor pan that slides in.
  19. Looks like i will just try the local UPGARAGE again... i think my area is too country to get any real good parts turned over there though.
  20. hehe...like the one in your signature you have been advertising for as long as i can remember? Sorry, just kidding. I couldnt help it. Price of the ECU doesn't matter, my car and most past 1974 are ADR27a compliant and as such will not comply to ADR's with an aftermarket ECU. I have spent to much time and effort on my car to have it not fully engineered and roadworthy. If I wanted a power FC, I am currently living in Japan and they are not hard to get. Thanks for the input anyway, more is welcome guys.
  21. Yes, well dyno time will be a must to see how the ECU handles the extra displacement of the 3.0L. I have been in touch with him and look forward to progressing further with it. The next question is of course, what are the short comings of using a remapped ECU over a good aftermarket ECU aside from extra outputs and traction control etc i.e. stuff I will not use in my 70's Z.
  22. How much for ECU, Loom and all engine sensors it connects to?
  23. Is there by chance an EFI loom connected to all the sensors?
  24. you would want a low pass filter for your sub, not high pass. jaycar had kits where you can build your own passive HP/LP filter quite cheaply and very easliy, i assume they still do.
