  3. Hi, No, it is not necessary to change the fuel filter every service. We recommend changing the fuel filter every 40,000-50,000 klms depending on driving conditions etc. Cheers Jo

  7. Hi, You might want to check the implications of selling the vehicle before a compliance plate is fitted. Import approvals state "To sell the vehicle or use it in transport in Australia before a Used Import Plate is affixed could be an offense under section 16 of Act etc" DoTaRS should be able to clarify this for you. Cheers Jo
  8. No Problems. Have them in stock if you need. Cheers Jo

  10. Hi guys & gals, Terry (Bathurst R32 GTR) and Rod (Gibson R31) phoned this morning to say a special thank you. They really enjoyed meeting everybody and had a great day. Terry promised he will buy new tyres before the next track day, he has been putting it off because the GTR hardly ever goes out on the track. So with new tyres fitted expect to see the GTR running at full pace at the next track day Oh, and Rod has informed me he is bringing his passenger seat to throw me into Cheers Jo
  11. Thanks Steve, Yeh, it was great spending time with everyone in such a fantastic atmosphere. Next year?? you won't have to wait that long, should be within the next 2 months & more than likely Eastern Creek this time. We have literally thousands of photo's to sift through, will take us a while. We have looked at some of the video footage & it's pretty good. Some of the pics people took are excellent, hopefully we'll have them in our website gallery by the end of the week. Jo
  12. Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to those who attended on the day. It was great to see such a mixture of cars. A special commendation goes to the drivers, some of whom recorded personal best times. You all drove and behaved very professionally & this was a major factor in making this such a great day. We have been inundated with comments of how exciting it was for spectators watching. Also a very special thanks to those who assisted drivers throughout the day in the preparation of their cars. A great team effort, true sportsmanship. There is some awesome footage already circulating & we will post up pics on our website in the next couple of days. Once again, thanks for spending the day with us, we hope to see you at our next Powerplay track day. Cheers Jo-Ann & Alistair Powerplay Imports

  16. Couldn't agree more Duncan. There is absolutely no committment from the media in Australia to cover anything other than V8's in Australian Motorsport. The sad thing is, there is so much more to Australian Motorsports as we all know. An incredible number of very talented drivers never get acknowledgment, it seems simply due to the model of car they choose to race. They attend the meetings and do the hard yards but represention as a part of Australian Motorsports might as well be non existent. Targa Tasmania is a classic example - known as one of the most popular races in Australia with a massive number of entries, yet we are lucky to catch minor glimpses on TV of any car except the top $$$ contenders and the veterans. Might get sour grapes for saying this, and I don't want to elaborate further but: Heard on the grapevine that channel 10 are looking at piloting a segment for RPM on Aussie owners' performance cars, all models, not just the locally grown. My understanding from what I have been told is it will be along the lines of Top Gear, only more personalised to individual cars/owners/drivers/history etc. If it comes to fruition, who knows, maybe it will be the first real step towards arousing interest for the media to take a second look at supporting our local Motorsport Industry as a whole.
  17. Hi, Don't agree to it. Remember, the assessor you are dealing with is the assessor for the at fault driver. My recommendation is that you get your insurance company involved and ask their assessor to assess the car. It won't cost you anything and you won't have to pay an excess. I was in the same situation a while ago where my car was stationary and hit hard from the rear. The panel beater said he can fix it like new and this is what the at fault assessor wanted to do also. I contacted my insurance company. I expressed concern on the structural integrity of the vehicle and my insurance company assessor had the car written off. The minute there is talk of chassis damage the structural integrity of the vehicle is in question. I would not accept any compromise on my safety or the safety of any passengers. Contact your insurance company, they are looking after your interests. Good luck Cheers Jo
  18. Hi, That's your engine warning light. If your engine warning light is coming on the ECU is recognising a problem. Could be a number of things. Suggest you get it diagnosed on a Nissan Consult to find the fault. Cheers Jo
  19. Specialising in Skylines, I have imported numerous R33 & R34 GTR's over the last 9 years, I know exactly what costs are involved. I've done the sums so often. That's why I get so annoyed when people like Fast Canuck post prices for cars he obviously knows absolutely nothing about. I have daily records of selling prices for all models of GTR's in Japan - good grade and low grade. I can categorically say beyond any doubt that it is impossible to import/comply & sell on a retail level a good grade (well sorted), genuine kilometre R33 GTR V Spec for under AUS$45,000. A good grade R33 GTR V SPEC will cost you between 1,800,000 - 2,400,000 yen in Japan. Fast Canuck should find this information helpful but I have a feeling it's not what he wants to hear, nut I went to the trouble anyway. Below is actual data from auctions in Japan on recently sold R33 GTR's. Some are V Spec, some are Non V Spec, some are high klms, some are low klms, some are accident damage. 20. LOL Do you think he's related to that other guy in Qld that was looking for a grade 4.5, 20,000 Klm, side airbag R34 GTR for $60,000?
  21. ENOUGH ALREADY FAST CANUCK !!!! These guys have offered you their knowledge from experience accumulated over many years of owning, buying & selling GTR's & dealing with foreign exchange rates, they are not pulling figures out of their hats, they are giving you honest, realistic information yet you have chosen to contradict almost every person offering you advice. You seem to think you know everything there is to know about buying a GTR, what a dealers profit margin is and accurate foreign currency exchange rates? You say you want a car that hasn't been driven hard, yet you yourself admit to driving a car hard on a test drive. How many more 'prospective' buyers do you think have driven this car hard too. Most responsible dealers would never let somebody thrash a car that is for sale on a test drive, I know I certainly won't regardless of whether I thought the test driver was going to buy it or not. So, you drove the car hard, it has 3 inspections to back up it's condition and the dealer is willing to accept the offer you made. I mean it's such a good deal, and by your calculations the dealer is making a whopping profit to boot. GO BUY IT ALREADY!!!!
  22. QM1 = WHITE If you pm the chassis number I'll check the details on the Nissan database if you like. Cheers Jo
