Pits guys are gunna love you
Looks like you'll have to do a lot of work prior to presenting it or just try as it is and get a list to work to.
Good Luck
Sorry but I think you'd regret it.
Would you prefer a R34 GT with a SR20DET in it over a GTR?
Similar concept IMHO
Good luck with what you decide (hope you don't put the ironing board on the boot)
Liked the car hated the bugeye look.
Bought aftermarket headlights for mine.
Don't think I'll wait for the new model although a 2.5 would fix my only complaint.
Looks like it's definitely the CPV35 for me
Ask for steve Barnes at Northside Nissan spare parts.
He can get what you need as I think they stock the headlights in Melb.(halogen ones not sure about if you have Xeon type)
He owns a R33 so is happy to help
Yep sorry
The REX was the wifes choice (been my choice all other times)and I think it's been a great little car. I do miss 6 cylinders though.
Once I replaced the Bugeye headlights it didn't look too bad.
My Missus didn't like the 34 and wouldn't drive it because she couldn't see out the back >
I actually think the 33 is a sweeter looking car but what would I know I'm waiting for a CPV35
If your car is tuned correctly and you drive the cars in a similar way fuel economy would not differ greatly.
If you are having a problem with excessive fuel consumption and the car is tuned right as I said the biggest factor is you.
Cheers
Unfortunately the buyers and the market set the price.
Plastic bits could cost $50,000 but won't affect it's resale value
If the license papers say it's a Skyline GTS-t then that's what it is and will always be.
Mitchy
If you want to change to an R34 based on fuel economy..don't.
Fuel economy of 33 and 34 would be almost identical.
Fuel economy is more related to the ol' right hoof whether it be modified or not.
My REX is putting out maybe 40kW more than stock and gets 10l/100kms normally.
Who said 34's are nicer looking
I've had both and a nice 33 will grab my attention in traffic moreso than a 34 but that's just my preference.
If your chosing an auto then the 34's are much nicer with the tiptronic function compared with a 33.
At 18 I'd hate to be paying your insurance costs
Yes you hit the nail on the head there Chris.
Some people are just slow to accept change and maintain their narrow viewpoints long after others have moved on.
I was one of the first to get an R33 then a R34 in spite of owners of the previous models telling me how ugly they are. Look how they accept them now.
Mind you even now if I see a nicely done up HR31 I wish I had the spare garage space
Yes this thread has served it's purpose
Cheers

Other than mechanically tell me which parts interchange that you can see
Sure they followed a theme but one that works
And for those who knock Carlos
Sure we don't like some of the things he's done but without him Nissan would have gone down the toilet by now their financial situation was so dire.
It's fine to build cars that push the forefront of technology such as the 32 GTR but that doesn't keep you in busness.
Better Nissan to survive and our cars maintain their resale value than go the way of Rover/MG.
Imagine those poor buggers trying to get out of their leases when they finish.
cheers
The Artist did a good job then...looks great to me
Shimmy
There is no basically about it......The G35 Infinity IS a V35 but with LHD.
Thought the early concept in those last two pics looked terrible
Cheers

Ha! that's what some R32 owners say too about the R32.
Can't live in the past all your lives guys.
Tastes change thing move on.
Go the V35
I just checked out your photos after I read your post about 260RS and sent PM
Is that colour a factory colour?
Thought that a V35 in a colour like the ford XR purple would look good.
Like the newstyle blue coupe in your photos too
Cheers
Will cause no damage to speedo as there is no direct connection between a cable drive and the needle.
The cable usually spins a magnetic drum that attracts and drags a metal "plate" attached to the needle. If the disc spins quick enough to push the needle to an endstop there is only magnetic force on it so no damage.
Food for thought
White is the combination of all colours of the spectrum whereas black is actually the absence of colour reflected off a surface.
So then is "Black" an actual colour at all??
Oooh my brain hurts now
Like the thinking Troy Yellow would be cool but to colourchange an '04 or '05 could be cruel
Blue silver white or a new colour gunmetal below could be the go
