Well the Rex is run in and all I can say is where's the power? First time over 4000rpm was a disappointment. These little cars go pretty hard but not if you're used to Skyline power. Guess I'm gunna have to address this problem Cheers Chris

Yeah it was crap..they'd had it for over six months My missus picked that the front left guard had been resprayed. I allways take her along as she can pick colour changes.....a spray painters nightmare she is. Was going to look at one someware in Vic Park (Autostrada???) but decided to go new for not much more money. Yeah go the rexes but I still love Skylines At least your nick is relevant:(

Welcome:D I looked at a couple of EVO 4's too there is one at Joe Crifarios that they fitted silver wheels to. It looked better but ruined the originality. Decided to go new as all the EVO 5's were sold and couldn't find a demo. Let me know what mods work. I've fitted a full 3" stainless system and it's barely run in but they sound great. Cheers

I've driven a Tommy Mak EVO IV and they are sensational. I'd have one in an instant but at $38k drive away for the WRX or $70k for the EVO it's no contest I'm afraid. All performance cars have their strengths and weaknesses. I enjoy driving anything that the manufacturer has tried to put performance and soul into...even dunnydoors so I wouldn't knock any of them.

Not long now Ryan Then you can all take turns. Compared to my brother in laws stock GTS-t and my initial impression of the WRX...the WRX will absolutely blitz a GTS-t off the line even with the 'line getting an ideal launch. The line would overhaul it eventually but probably not before the 400m mark.. My old R33 went up against a WRX at Kwinana and took 350m plus to draw alongside. My car wasn't stock and was running in the 13.8's that night from memory. Cheers

It's not an STI just a poverty pack rex. The manuals have a nice light clutch and the auto version is woeful. So we got a manual. Any mods will have to be minor as I can't fit a heavy clutch because of my crook foot. So far so good plus Tennille has offered to drive it for me. Next MC day she gets to drive the rex so no excuses for her now:)

To answer some questions on my thread in the for sale section. Yes Micko and Rod I've sold the 34. I advertised it in the Sunday times for 4 weeks and got no calls for her at all until last week. I'd decided that I was meant to keep her. The guy came around after looking at one at a dealer for the same price I was asking ($42k) mine had done 20,000kms less and had gear on it that would cost nearly $20,000 to replace......no contest really. We had around $70k tied up in two cars when we only used one at a time which in the end seemed silly. We decided to sell both cars and get one to do both jobs i.e practical (sort of) and fun to play with too hence we pick up the new car on Tuesday.............................R34 the traitor runs and hides Sorry Micko please forgive me I have sinned. Was going to ring you today but was still in mourning.
