    GT wing

When I consider this issue I think my objections are not the concept of GT wings (after all my R34 had that style as std ) but the size of them. Simplelogik’s car looks great but some look so tall that a stiff crosswind would bend them.

No worries mate I edited out the comment about Excels as on reflection I thought it was not fair to comment but you saw it first so I apologise for that. You're too fast ya bugger

Pisker No need to make it personal mate as I was only voicing my opinion and stated as such.I called no one a knob for liking them just aired what others impression of you would be. Simplelogik For some reason my webbrowser has only just let me view the pic of your car and let me tell you IMHO your car looks great and the wing is nothing like the size of the wing on the other white Supra I saw or the blue 350Z. I'll have a ride if it's on offer anyday Cheers
  5. Have you tried Jash at C-RED?

They look good on a racecar as they serve a purpose but dumb on a street poser. Sorry it's only my opinion but put one on your car and 99.9% of the public will be laughing their asses off at you and think you're a knob. If that's the reaction you want then go for it. My missus is a car nut but while waiting for me after work told me about this stupid looking 350z with a oversized wing drive past. Guess what it was blue. Sure stands out but for all the wrong reasons Cheers Chris
  7. Whatever floats yer boat I guess but for me that is wrong in so many ways. Did it get stickered by the traffic police or the bad taste police?
  8. I will even though I don't think it will work. Those shields are so obvious though. You'd be lucky to last the day Cheers

If his numberplate is SAM9999 then yeah

If they are anything like the ironing board I saw on a Supra last night don't do it they are an absolute joke. This is my opinion of course but this was a really nice white Supra with a really cool bodykit and this top fuel dragster piece of crap bolted to the boot. Guy driving it looked Italian so would this be refered to as Rice or Lasagna?
  11. On Holidays down south I managed 720kms to a tankful with my old 33.
  12. Will make no difference as fourth year apprentices are given a car for 3 weeks to do a full respray on so they can be marked on for their exam. For this reason they will only accept a "project" that is worthwhile and that needs all their skills to complete. You are charged for materials only not labour. For this reason I doubt that they will accept bodykit jobs either Cheers
  13. Nate I had a R30 that I rebuilt from the ground up a few years ago that I fitted with RB20DET and all R31 running gear. I had the car done by carlisle tafe and they did a great job for $1100 at the time. "i wouldnt leave my car there on its own though! ".... If that's the case take your sleeping bag with you 'cause they need the car for three weeks. $1500ish for a good two pack paint job is a very good price nowadays as you only get what you pay for. Sure you can get a "Jam Job" for $800 but it will be poorly prepared using cheap materials Cheers
  14. Just nominate who you want to do the job and claim through your insurance then they will chase the little old ladies insurance company for the money. Doesn't matter how far away the shop is as insurance will organise the towing and payment. All you have to do is pick up the phone then relax. Wilkinson's are acredited Mercedies Benz repairers as well as Lexus so they should be able to handle your Datsun:)
  15. Ric As Steve mentioned there are some very good panel shops in Perth. I can recommend Peter Wilkinson's Smash in Welshpool. You should be able to nominate your own repairer. Who are you insured through?
  16. Rob Pull your head in there is no need for that. How good is your second language?
  17. KMALE My daughter pointed that one out to me in the Auto Trader as she knows I want another one. Unfortunately building a new house plus garage is full ATM. Having said that if anyone sees #101 I want it back for a full restoration:) Cheers

  19. I've had both and BOTH are great cars for different reasons. No need to stir shite
  20. RB26DETT 240Z Gotta luv the 240Z I had one years ago and then a couple of years ago spent 2 1/2 years restoring another one. Looks like a great job you're doing there. How about some more pics?
  21. Jowett Javelin engine actually:)
  22. Well done mate good to edukate them V8 drivas. Any 5.8 holdens? If so what did they produce stock? What did the Ford Turbo do Cheers Chris
  23. I thought it better to list this “for sale” in the WA section. My Brother in Law is about to trade his GTS in over in Brisbane and is going to send me the personal plates to sell if anyone is interested. Plate is “GTS 25T” Anyone interested? Cheers Chris
  24. 25GTT What price can you do for family membership? Both my daughters are members so the missus and I went had a look at Joondalup last night Cheers Chris
  25. I've allways backed off the bolt just enough so it moves (sometimes cracking noise) then retension at the full torque. The backing off just gets by the bolt "binding" giving a false reading. You can try just tensioning and if the bolt moves before the torque wrench goes off that's OK. If it doesn't and you then try the above mentioned method you'll notice the bolt will turn past where it was originally. Air leaking into the coolant? That's not a good sign. It's either compression through the gasket or hopefully a loose connection between the rad and overflow bottle which sucks back air when the motor is cooling down. Could be a duff radiator cap too. Cheers
