  1. my father was the registered owner and he originally had a financial interest.Until he couldnt afford the car for various reasons, so i took over the payments , then had myself changed from an occasional driver to a full-time driver . I then sort my own personal loan with better payment plan and paid out the finance company the car was with. At 19/20ish in 2005 i was never going to have the insurance in my name when it was a modified 2002 VX SS, and as my father was still going to drive here and there anyway. Now just to clear something up, having a car registered in ones name with the appropriate authority does not make you the owner. The bill of sale or another similar document that is signed by the buyer and seller is what deems who the owner is. So chris what was with these investigation style questions?
  2. sad life if it is.... hahaha you my friend need to get out more. You havent a clue bud. I work in data centres all day, which all run PC based networks, mainly IBM or HP, as with most businesses, they are always under threat. Mate im not here for name callin and disrespecting a brother. Its a simple rule of thumb, that me and the boys have a work.
  3. having a PC , you may as well bender over now as the hackers will f**k you anyway
  4. So true. This cars are weekend toys if you ask me. If you can afford a GTR as a daliy, you can afford a to keep it as a toy and buy another car for a daily. Know I bet people with say to me i have used as a daily or am using as a daily now, like the post earlier but if i asked ya honestly, was it affordable? Deep down we all know that could hardly be the case
  5. bud, id have the car in your parents name and insured in your parents name and have yourself as a full-time nominated driver, Completely legal. Not any of this part-time or once in a blue moon driver s**t If you go full comp you'll start earning NCB so when you decide to get every thing in your name you'll come out with some NCB Thats what i had done in my earlier years and just a few mouths ago I got the insurance on my daily transfered in my name and i went straight to a max NCB. Jumping in the deep end with your own full comp and build your own NCB in this day in age for a young bloke is just not worth it, money wise
  6. dude HID = high intensity discharge lighting, its used in industrial and commerical lighting, that runs on AC and need a ballast to start so when its put in cars its over kill. Which is why I'd say they are banned. Im not sure theres a way around HID, there too bright on low beam.
  7. wow, cor has let this one get out of control. social media is a powerful little nugget that should not be kicked. cor most likely thought that the wheel breaking off was going to be bad for business so they argue the point with owner, far enough, but changing the wording on the warranty to suit the outcome that cor would desire, definitely stinks. The fall out from it all will leave a stale taste in peoples mouths and they'll talk with there wallets
  8. one hot tip, Lose the stock ceramics turbos asap. They'll cost more in the long run
  9. Everyones different. not everyone has there parents to buy them a car or unable to wait the time necessary to save for a car as they many need it for work. Birdspeed13 buy what you want...just act responsibility
  10. thank alex. I've been thinking of asking some of the guys, it just want some soild info before I say anything so i dont look like the fool and to see if its been bought up before in earlier threads. You may get a few more vins while I nut this one out
  11. Yeh mate tell one of the boys your vin so they can run it in the Nissan fast programme which will distinguish what car it is. Look up 'get vin fasted' or similar From what youve described, you've got yourself a 33 gtr that's got 33 gtst build plates and can only be rego'd as such. A good way to check right now is have a look at the Japan vin that's stamped into the fire wall and see how it compares to the blue build plate. If its different your've got ya self in a jam. Good luck mate.
  12. Mate I can't help to much, but as a sparky by trade, I can tell you a fuse it self doesn't draw any current, there has to be a load drawing current. Maybe try a isolation switch on the battery
  13. Autosport engineering at Kirrawee. Know there imports and they do blue n pink slips Also the reason why you ain't seeing many skylines and the like in the roads is; like myself and many others, my 32 gtr isn't my daily so there not out n about everywhere.
  14. Yeh its the afm's. every car that has them will not work without them. Unless its been tuned without afms.
  15. I've been trying to figure out what the extra letter means at the end of the vin on 32's The extra letter is between the 7 and AA. I thought it was there on all post 93/02 R32 GTRs. Thats seems to be not the case here, as the 3 I got you to do yesterday don't have the extra letter. I've got an R32 vin decoder which says nothing about it this letter or its location in the vin itself, I'm a little curious at to what it could mean.
  16. nothings ever in the budget, aye But you cant go past spitfires. Pricey but you can trust they will fire.
  17. Mate im sure theres been nicer cars with bugets to much, but you've still got to have a very clear clean paint and panel work for a mag feature. Very tidy!!!
  18. fuel pump might be on its way out or it could be getting extra power causing the surge or even the pick up point in the tank may have moved causing it to suck nothing for a sec causing it to surge in extra fuel but I'd speak to the guys you had do the work or a mechanic whos own for skyline work
  19. No it is not but still a clean jdm
  20. Al despo , appreciate the work champ Mate this is my actual vin, if you could run it BNR32303496 and id also like you to run this one BNR32305398 too. big thanks
