  1. well even for interest sakes I'd like to see this go ahead. I can see where slide is coming from in terms of the differences in the turbos but purely from a price perspective it will be interesting to see just how much difference there is in performance for your money. Cheers

  3. nice, thanks for that. Does your distributor have any dyno graphs on the kkr 430 on a RB25? I know there is a larger model which is better suited for more power but it's a bit laggy from what i've seen. I've been trying to find a graph of a kkr430 on a RB25 for a while but with no luck.   4. These need modifications to oil lines and a different manifold too though yeah? ends up being more like $1500 by the time you're finished.

  12. Well I guess the only people who will know how long they are lasting is slide and people who own them. I don't think anyway can guarentee the life span of a turbo but I havn't read anything that would suggest these turbos only last 60000 kms. Sure some people have pointed out that BB turbos are superior but a few people have stated they havn't had any problems with this turbo either. I'm guessing the whole reason the person started this thread was to find out these sort of questions but I'm sure it wasn't meant to be a GCG vs slideperformance or BB Vs Journal thread.
  13. Totally agree with the above statement. This thread is about trying to find people WITH this turbo and their opinions on it. I'm pretty sure you don't have this turbo Paul so how is it your place to say if it's good or not. Sure BB turbos are superior but that isn't the topic of the thread. The people mainly drawn here would be people without the budget to buy a BB turbo. For under $1k and with 12 months warranty this turbo seems perfect for someone who wants improved performance over stock and doesn't want to spend 2k on a turbo alone.

  16. Benhpi, Do you have the graph of the 230rwkw run for the RB25 with the 430? I'm interested in getting a turbo that give me around that mark of power so that I don't have to go spending big bucks on injectors AFMs full engine management (i have SAFC II). The other option I've been looking at is a HKS 2530 and they seem to be getting people into the 12.5sec 1/4 region with about 230-240rwkw.

  21. Geez i hate people like this. I saw a bogan in a kingswood last night totally harrassing a P Plater. Going up the inside on a normal one lane street, overtaking in a 60 zone where the p plater was doing 60. He pulled in front of the p plater and slammed his brakes on. Luckily the p plater had time to brake but what a f**kwitt. I felt like catching up and belting some sense into the bogan. He was mid 30s to i reckon so you;d think he'd have some common sense. Preety frustrating having to witness shit like that knowing you can't do anything about it.

NAME: James JOB: IT admin @ Rosny College LOCATION: Hobart CAR: 1993 R33 GTST Wine Red MODS: SAFC II (Dr Drift tuned), Turbotech boost controller, 3" turbo back exhaust, FMIC, Bosch 040 pump. Made 152RWKW @ 9PSI in non-shootout mode. Any more boost or timing and the car was missing. suspect coils or need to regap the plugs. Hopefully by the time 98RON is here I'll have sorted out the issues and can get a retune @ 12PSI.
