  3. Hey mate, whats the width of these rims?
  4. stickers!!! not that you should have them anyway... but if you got apexi, alpine, pioneer, etc... you are pretty much telling people whats in your car. whether it'd be a PFC, headunit or whatever.
  5. he proposed..... what the?
  6. SAU is definately on the horn tonight
  7. u juz wanna touch her where it smells funny
  8. endless masturbating to home and away?
  9. Aaron - rofl true true.. but we dont have turbos All I am saying is just becareful, because I have seen people build those intakes and it feeds directly from one of the vents from the front bar, so basically if u drive through a puddle - water is going to go in. Col-GTSX carbon fibre aye... sounds good. But us NA'eans dont have the intercooler hole that GTSTs have.
  10. your mate is not an idiot for buying an NA, and I would like to think that he knows what he is doing. Everyone always says forced induction is the way to go, of course for an extra grand or two you definately get bang for buck... so why not. I paid as much for my GTS as the cost of a GTST, for a COMPLETELY stock, clean, first owner, etc car. It comes down to your needs, and driving lifestyle. If your not racing, then why do you need turbo? For a street driven car, for daily use - I find NA is the go. Your mate might have his own reasons for buying an NA. Whether it be insurance, or fuel consumption, whatever... That said... gatty has pretty much summed up what can be done to NA engines. I think the factory quoted figure is 147kw@4400RPM, I have recently put my car on the dyno for a base figure, stock except for pod filter... I managed 108rwkw
  11. yeah, essentially thats what could happen, but realistically I would find it hard to see water going through the intake pipe, onto the pod, through the AFM and into the throttle body. that said... what we are both getting at here is to keep water out of the internals
  12. dayne: I have decided to use aluminum flashing for my partition. Like Nismodified said, get a cardboard to make a template... I am currently doing this, and make AS MANY templates as needed. Its far better and easier to cut cardboard than metal, you want to cut it first time and cut it right. My partition comes across from the headlight and encloses the AFM with the pod (I am unsure whether this will have any effect - I assume not) and then towards the strut. Make sure you bolt down the filter with brackets first before attempting to make the template, as the filter will move and you want to cut the smallest hole possible to let the least amount of engine heat to pass through. Attach the stock snorkel if you wish (increased airflow) and cut here and there to make it fit. You may want to add a plastic type lid... Go to the forsale section there is a guy selling these pod filter boxes, they look real trick - but nothing wrong with getting your hands dirty and actually modifying your car. EDIT: If you do decide to make an intake pipe to the pod (I dont think NA's have the intercooler hole) make sure you be careful and try not to get anywater into it. like puddles, or skidpans... water + afm = no no
  13. Its pretty hard to tell.. there was a thread floating around mentioning the pros and cons of using either a panel filter or pod filter... ie. certain filters have good flow, but lets more crap through OR certain filters have poor flow, but keeps all the crap out (it actually filters properly). Its all about trial and error, where u live (pollution, dust, etc...) You'd want to find one which kinda sits in between, filters properly and has decent airflow. Stock airbox in my opinion is quite restricted (as the airflow from the snorkel passes, through the panel filter, then has an awkward angel to get to the AFM duct. I am planning to use the stock snorkel feeding into a partition, with a pod, this way I have the snorkel inlet, and a bit of extra air coming in around the headlights and grill. Mind you if you do decide to use a pod, it is a good idea to make a partition to shield the heat from the engine bay.
  14. check if there is a hicas lock bar.... that wud be a pretty good indication
  15. are these the stock 33 brakes? plz email me photos and condition to [email protected] I also live in Brisbane
  16. as if you wud not show some SAU support and come.... moooooooooo
  17. by driving it? or you could stick your head under the car and have a look at the plate... that may give u some indication...
  18. I have seen SmoothLine's bonnet it is one of the cleanest bonnets out there, looks the goods. grepin: what will he use then??? Free BUMP
  19. same as what Richard Everett said...^^^^
  20. Dont quote me on any of this but from what I gather... An LSD (limited slip diff) will let both wheels spin at different speeds, but it will just limit the amount of difference between them. So basically when you go around a corner, the inside wheel will spin slower as it has less distance to travel. I dont think a burnout is the correct way to determine that both wheels are spinning at the same speeds. But if your wheels are spinning at the same speeds around a corner (its most probably a locked diff) the inside wheel will chirp. This is good for dragging, drifting and other straight line stuff ( I am not sure what is appropiate for track work) But for street use the stcok LSD shud be fine.
  21. 1994 Black R33 GTS paid for with my own money... hardcore saving from god knows when.
  22. when u have the flag... its obligatory to chuck..... umm... stones at the bogans what about me Tom Green.. I am 18ish... unleash the fuuurrrryyy,.....
  23. what do u mean by 288? the price? maybe we can organize a group buy, this thread seems to be getting alot of interest... I know I'd be keen for some.
  24. I was just thinking that, if they are the same size then I cannot see much difference with extra power... Unless they are like titanium (weight reduction?) then again they wudnt be THAT heavy, as opposed to say a full exhaust
