  1. the SAFC interpolates between each load point anyway, obviously more is better to give a finer tune. but are the other features such as cam adjustments more worthwhile? i also cant seem to find the number of load points for the CamFC (assuming it's every 500rpm from 0-9,000rpm = 18 load points??) cheers
  2. machining the NISSAN shouldn't be a big deal... i'd be more inclined to do that than machine the rims.
  3. alright guys... i'm set on a air fuel controller (wont be getting a pfc or any ecu). i have three choices: - SAFC Neo - SAFC II - Gizzmo CamFC we'll do em in order SAFC Neo - like everyone has said, the extra load points arent really such a bonus. - wanky color screen - NO knock sensor SAFC II - knock sensor - less load points - old design shape Gizzmo CamFC - made by apexi - looks pretty plain and simple - no monitoring functions - who can tune it? - less wanky - no knock sensor Link to Gizzmo CamFC: http://www.apexi-usa.com/product_gizzmo_de...7&pageNum=1 Conclusion At the moment i'm leaning more towards the CamFC, it seems to do air/fuel control and control cam switch on and switch off points. has anyone tried the camfc? and can anyone shed some light as to how they'd rate it? cheers
  4. does for me... looks similar to one i made a while back.
  5. does for me... looks similar to one i made a while back.
  6. oh so tempting... what size are those? 17x7? i have a set of 17x8 sparco racing rims... although i'm a little hesitant about the offset and spoke design clearing my calipers...
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...bayphotohosting i vomited in my mouth... hehehe
  8. i've received a phone call about yours glyn - since yours was hp coated. you have pm. baldbeno, please be patient
  9. fair enough andy... shame.
  10. yes, i have looked into that, and have noticed that quite a few people have done so. to be honest i was seriously re-considering hard whether or not to re-new my sau membership for 2007, being here since before the qld chapter was launched, being at the launch up till present - i feel i am in a position to make/pass judgement. i think the cams licensing will be the foundation for a strong member/event base... simply passing off members to nsw to get a license (as convienient as it is) isnt a very enticing incentive to join. i know qld is basically still teething, and not being on the event/member board myself it does seem a little hipocritical. but it's just a bit of member - exec feedback?? edit: the wakefield trip is certainly sparking my interest... and i'd be down for that kinda stuff. but a quick look into the members events section and i'm sure you'll see what i'm getting at. i know gympie is being sorted, but it seems like alot of the events are organized externally of the club.
  11. sweet... would be good to get SAu QLD back into cams licensing... i'm sure another ex-gtr owner would definately be keen.
  12. hmmm... these kinds of events interest me far more than the regular drag/drift events. qld certainly does lack a fair bit of advertisement in this area. certainly something nsw and vic are very into. motorkhanas, hill climbs, sprints, etc...
  13. are these sprints open to anyone? how'd you find out about it noel? any details or info?
  14. might arrive earlier this week... wait and see first, if not i'll see what i can do

    Cops In Imports

    how's the new VEs
  16. i take it everyone has successfully received them? please leave feedback if possible... cheers eug
  17. better off upgrading to the sumitomo calipers. they have gone down in price GREATLY over the past 6 or so months. if you're looking for a budget upgrade you can pretty much choose any caliper from either: R32 GTST/GTR (non vspec) R32 GTR (brembos) R33 GTST R33 GTR (brembos) S14 and S15 Z32 it'll also give you a larger variety of rotor choices to choose from.
  18. any idea on costs for a front cut?
  19. david, i had an exhaust shop do mine... they sell flanges - obviously according the the diameter of the outlet pipe. it's pretty much a universal thing. by stud bolts i expect you mean the ones on the head? again those can be sourced from an exhaust shop. i had a quick look at doing the thing myself with a mate who had a tig welder, and decided against it. it seemed like a big mission without having the car hoisted up. axle stands would have been a nightmare. that said, try calling an exhaust shop and they should be able to sort you out. eug
  20. having it tuned will fine tune the air and fuel mixtures for optimal settings. $500 including dyno time is about right. writing down the values won't mean anything... each car is different no one can really help you... it sounds like you lack alot of the basic fundamentals in how an ecu/piggyback management works. just get it tuned... it's not doing anything just sitting there. simple as that.
  21. i'd give jdm imports a go
  22. make 100% sure if something is ADR approved... sometimes - things like seats can be ADR compliant... which is different again.
  23. how does braking feel? could be a piston? notice you have a series 2 - so it's not as old as some other skylines, but these cars are 10years+ old
