  1. Hi gents, I got problem that my car often will shudder when i speed up to 110km/h and continue shudder if I acc to higher speed. I can feel the vibration from the seat, not from the steering wheel, i think it is rear wheel problem? currently my car has 4 brand new rotors, 4 brand new rims with balanced and 4 good tyres (about 10000km). anyone has idea or experience on this?
  2. M35 rough idle / shudder Hi, I've recenly had problems with the car and would like to know if it sounds familiar. Symtoms : - Rough idle : the car does not stall but you can definitely feel a shudder - Shudder also present when driving, especially around 2000-2500 rpm Coming from the engine 100%, it is less noticeable once the turbo kicks in but there is a slight power loss too. Problem has increased in intensity when I was driving it home. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great. Mechanical skills close to null, if someone around Sydney is keen to have a look at it, I'd obviously pay for your time, but I can of course try a few things on my end too. Cheers!
  3. hi guys lately ive noticed when i put my foot down im getting a shudder that feels like its coming from the rear of my 260rs stagea its only doing it once the revs climb a bit and only when im booting it. i.e: it seems related to how much torque is applied had a quick visual check of the drive line and everything "seems" ok any ideas on this pone would be a big help cheers.
  4. Steering judder when turning left (R34) Had a bit of a search but didn't come up with much. I've recently noticed an issue with my steering where it 'judders' slightly when turning left. It seems worse at slow speeds i.e. full power steering assistance. Turning right is ok. Couple of things to note: The steering rack has been rebuilt earlier this year. I had really bad judder (both ways) when it went. I've checked PS fluid level and it seems ok. I'm using the original auto trans cooler as a PS cooler so the circuit is longer and has more fluid compared to the standard OEM cooling loop setup. I've just changed the tie rod ends and both ball joints have been lubricated appropriately. I always lift the front of the car up using a 30cm plank to distribute the weight across the crossmember behind the sump. The crossmember has gotten a little dented over time, and when I was doing this recently I heard a noise and noticed that it's slightly more bent than before, which is not great. See pic below. I always thought it was safe to lift at the x-member? Anyway my working theory is the rack may have moved slightly in relation to the crossmember, causing the RH piston to bind slightly and resulting in judder. Is this plausible? If so, how do I fix it? Could I just loosen the rack and re-tighten it? I hope I haven't busted the crossmember enough to need a replacement, as that'd be a major job... ^^^ The crossmember looks a bit better in this photo than in reality
