'97 Model R33 With 269,000kms

Just saw this R33 whilst looking on J-spec

It's a 1997 model and has 269,000kms

At least J-spec are honest :lol:

How common is this kind've high mileage on skylines in japan?

How many km's do RB engines last for? I know thats a bit of a 'whats the length of a piece of string' question but I'm just wondering if anyone had any opinions.

I think a lot of people would be scared to buy a skyline that had done +200,000kms but I guess there would be a lot out there that have done that many.

how many kms can they last ?

well as anything you will most likely know, the way you treat it, it will treat u good back.

if its been serviced and well looked after, parts changed when recomended by nissan, turbo rebuilt and things like that, then there is nothing to say that this car wont last another 200thousand kms, just depends who buys it, how they drive it, if they mod it etc.

Remember, once you start modifying a car, your putting more stress on the components therefore creating a shorter lifespan.

ive known some of the aussie rb30's to kick past 500 thoasand with no probs

269 is a bit high but at least its most probably genuine kms

my car has 179,000 kms and is probably the nicest looking r32 I have seen come in under the 15 year rule. For eg the plenum has hardly any wear on it.. most cars with < 100,000 clicks just look shagged.

My rule of thumb is most imports usually get shaved between 50,000 - 100,000 kms

They TRIED to bring mine in showing 69,000 kms, but in reality it had done 169,000 according to the de-rego papers.

In my opinion 9 out of 10 imports are shaved.

You've found one that isnt. Judge it on the condition

Indeed - even then, the interior etc etc is in decent condition with 269,000kms, so scary to think how many KM's have been wound back off all of our skylines...

pentae: VERY true, so many R32 GTRs with 30,000kms that look screwed... the japs must laugh at how stupid we are

with that many kms and an auto, its a bit expensive i rrekin

if it was a manual, with those k's and in that condition at that price, you could buy it and get a rebuilt engine, or an RB26 or something and still have a very cheap s2
