He says he should have got an SS commodore. But when the gen3's where first released there were a few owners who put similar stickers on their cars, as they had similar problems. I think the first batch of gen3s consumed a bit of oil when thrashed, and obviously if the oil wasn't topped up the engines seized.

That was when the gen3 was first brought in, and the xr6 turbos are still new so problems with a few are to be expected I suppose.

Why is he a cockhead? cos he got a shitty car and you don't believe him? you sir are a knob jockey PHATR32. My dad has a brand new calais that cost him over 50,000 dollars and it was a lemon, things were constantly going wrong with it. So we got rid of it. Chances are the guy was leasing the car so it wasn't a problem for him to get rid of it, cos at the end of his lease the car is taking from him and sold off. Just like my dads car was.

Think before your write something moron.

And having seen 4 examples of a car in which thousands of them are produced anually makes you an expert on there reliabilty?

I thought not.

Actually i prefer my euro's and japanese cars, but at the moment i'd choose a BF over a VZ, but when the new VE comes out this year that may be changed.

Just igronant ramblings like that are stupid and annoying.

That still dosent put me off buying one later this year...

my mates dad has a GT-P with well over 320kw.. chip, exhaust, intake, dropped on its balls, black rims etc etc etc and not one problem

there will always be a couple of duds out of the bunch but it all depends how you treat the car in general..

haha he prob got a EX motor test car or something that had been thrashed hard :D

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
