Sorry for digging up an old thread but i am considering getting a 32gtr as a daily. I was hoping the owners of the car could give some feedback as to the suitability of a mildly modded 32gtr as a daily (200-250ishrwkw). What sort of fuel figures does the car return? As best i can see the ongoing costs of a reliable car are not really any worse than a similar car. I own a S6 RX7 and there are a stack of things i would recommend someone do when they buy one. Are there anythings that are "must dos" or things to watch out for?

Much appreciated!!

Brad

full tank can range from 70-90 depending on petrol. i get about 400-450km a tank. i use mine as a daily driver as well currently 250rwkw. but once i finish the tune and cam gears it will be close to 300rwkw. IMO mine has been very reliable as a daily, only times it has broken down was wen i've pushed it to the absolute limit. (ie: turbos & clutch).

for me it feels liek a average car driving to and from work (i drive about 450km a week) but wen u need that quick pull its ready anytime. i think just get a compression/leakdown test done prior purchase, then do a major service and get rid of those ceramic turbos.

....and get rid of those ceramic turbos.

I wouldn't do that straight up first, I still have ceramics, just make sure (if you buy a boost controller) your sensible with them and not increase boost over 14-15PSI. There are so many things you need to consider before modification. I just had another quick look at my post and it still makes me cringe  .

Stamp Duty is the silent killer, I was unaware but lucky my loan was for a square $25k.
