my headlights when on low beam, use the only outside globes(and the far outside ones), and high beams use only the inside...my question is, is this different to others? are the different models...different? as in, do the high beams use the outside ones aswell?

next question...can you understand this?

:D:P

There's a kit from www.PerfectRun.com.au that allows you to turn on both hi and low beam when the light stalk is on hi beam position, this is to get more ilumination. Brand is East Bear. Kit is pretty pricey I reckon, about $180 plus not including delivery.

If someone know abt electronic, I reckon it will probably just some wiring harness, isn't it?

You can get brighter globes, I run 130w on my GTR high beams and it makes a massive difference as I think the standard lights are crap with the 85w globes. I do a lot of driving at night and do not like to not be able to see everything. I have been used to really bright lights on other cars and the gtr's just dont cut it for the performance of the car.

In terms of keeping the low beams on when the high beams come on you simply need to run a diod (Sp) in the wiring between the high and low bean trigger wire so that power can run too the low beams when the highs come on. You may also need to run a relay to help boost the high beam switch depending on what condition it is in. This will cost about $2.50 for the diodes and getting somone who has a clue to put them in for you. If I can next week I will give you the wiring colors.

Mick.

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
