Do any Newcastle / Raymond Terrace / Maitland people going to the Cruise on Saturday wanna meet up somewhere, to convoy it down to Ourimbah?

I'll be at the new Morisset Car Wash (in the Mega Markets estate area, near the Morisset roundabout) around like 8:30ish, then I'll wait at the Caltex / Maccas car park on the freeway, after the Wyong exit.

Probably leave there & head down to Ourimbah at like 9:30. Whereis.com.au reckons its an 11min trip.

Also guys & girls, the BBQ lunch will be off.. Snoop isnt coming along due to engine conversion wiring issues, & he was supplying the BBQ. It's not his fault though, I should have organised to get one myself.. Very sorry people! :

BUT theres a take-away shop just down the street, if everyone puts in $1 - $2, we'll get a massive feed :yucky:

Cold drinks will still be available for $1 each, maybe ice blocks or something too :(

Cant believe I got such a large responce, & we had a very nice turn-out!

Thank you all very much, especially skyline2l from Penrith & the two guys from Armidale! :O It's great to see such dedication.

      I also used Knox driveshafts when I the slip yoke T56 to the 3bolted TR6060 type. I believe I was one of his first jobs as it literally changed hands when I was there, started by the old owner and finished by the new. Everyone seemed pretty great about it. So wasn't shy/seemed pretty knowledgeable when dealing with weird custom people like me.

      We used Knox Drive shafts years ago when we were doing gravel rally, good guy but I heard it had changed hands? He's got a lot of stuff and is miles cheaper than GJ and so on. He used to have a lathe setup with a MIG torch on the tool holder so he could get the uni welds just right, quite a clever guy. I just got a driveshaft done for my sequential installation and that was through Balancing Services Australia in Preston, they did the Gibson cars in the old days. New genuine CV's, billet yoke, new centre bearing and chome moly shaft was $2k.

      Thanks for sharing that mate, I've got a couple of spares on the shelf but all the unis are tight....will give old mate a shout. BTW are you sure it wasn't just a $400 paint job? Any detail of what they replaced (cut/reweld?)

      Yeah I saw that about the US Q50 recently, apparently it was shown to Inifiniti dealers (probably to help with their depression about the cars they can sell). Seemed like a really obvious step to me, the platforms are very similar in many ways. Even if there aren't many people who actually put the money up it should really help with image/reputation. What hasn't been clear anywhere if that is a V38 model of if they are just going to add the trans as an option in a new model year. What they did with the Z from 370z to "Z" is just weird so I'd be surprised if they released this as a V38. Great news for me to have an option; it is far from confirmed that I can get any decent track sessions through the auto so having a manual I can swap to is great.
