My New Toy Has Some Interesting After Market Bits

Well I am now over the shock of the spoiler smash and have had time to take a close look at the new car. As well as the spoiler TNT also put some nice scratches on the car as well. They WILL pay ..make sure you NEVER use them.

Apart for this the car is good for a 6 year old car. I was in shock when I looked at the back muffler....it's huge!...and I was even more surprised when a quick look underneath revealed ..it went as far back as I could see...at least 4 inches. But nice and quiet, just as I like em.

Inside the car is a blitz boost gauge mounted on the A pilar ( have removed for road worthy)..a little clear "thing" with blue leds was siting on the dash (with wires atatched)..the lights flash in sequences when you press the button ...just a japanese decoration???.....and also there is a switch with a red cover over it that looks like a nitrouse/aircraft type switch...I am guessing it's a hi/lo boost switch...guess I find out once I on the road.

Anyway its good to be back in the club. Looking forward to metting up on sunday.

Scott

I've yet to see a high/low boost switch in a japanese car. they generally don't run turbosmart style bleed valves over there, which makes sense,as they get a proper EBC for about the price of a slab of beer more than we do for those crap hi/lo bleeders.

the switch is probably for spotlights or something that the previous owner removed before he put the car in for auction.

    • Hi guys, I've just bit the bullet on a forged rebuild for my 25det looking at making 600rwhp with the built engine. Having always been a butthurt for big brakes, I'd like to upgrade the fronts. I have looked at a few different websites, not have really stood out to me. What are some good quality front brakes, are the Attkd ones any good?    Thanks.
    • Went out for drive with Jackie for a while in the Mazda and whilst it was raining cats and dogs, the interior and boot are still nice and dry so the top and drains are working well to keep the elements out, winning
    • And yes would be going to tomei Japan for sure as it’s closer to me …
    • Yeah I heard the same. Might be hard to order one. But then I guess can go to hks or go to a more expensive n1 block with tomei. Guess will jump the hurdle once I get there next upgrade around. I can’t get work done in the states as the lead time will take for ever on top of shipping to Hong Kong.
    • https://www.platinumracingproducts.com/en-us/products/nissan-rb26-cast-blocks This is the solution I was thinking of. I would stay away from Tomei USA, their quality is a question mark to me. If you want an engine machined in the US contact Club DSPORT: https://clubdsport.com/ Tomei JP is probably fine but I recall they stopped doing pre-assembled short or long blocks. In general it's pretty tough to get any kind of RB26 block at the moment with Nissan so severely backordered.
