hey guys, afew questions..

was look at some turbo kits and i noticed one had a twin external gate setup on a hks t04e turbo, any reason why they would have this? twin gates hold better boost than 1?

would it be needed for high boost applications where 2gates could hold 20psi better than one?

and also custom oil lines, where to go for this? can you use some braided lines? im located in melbourne, if anyone can point me in the right way, would be appreciated!

thanks

Nate

Why dont you look @ the thread on the R31 forums where i've already posted about that stupid twin gate setup???

*sigh*

2 gates wont hold boost better than one

brainded lines - enzed where i get mine

My thoughts, 2 wastegates would be better than one for low boost on big turbos, blah blah.

reason being that you can dump more exhaust from the engine and control low boost better.

When you have hig boost, you don't need to dump much air because your using it to energise the compressor.

Edit: P.S. - who want's low boost on a big turbo car?

And Nate31, I just tried to squash a bug on my screen which turned out to be your sig...

    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 馃槈. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 馃槏.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 馃檹 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 馃槈. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 馃槏 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
