Hey guys-

thought I'd post a coupla pics of the new beast - finally a GTR resides in my garage!!! The car made 272rwkws (at 13psi) at Willall racing prior to purchase running rich at around 10.3:1 AFR.......now post compliance last weekend it made 170rwkws with an AFR that simply went off the scale rich (>9:1). Hmmm.....me smells a rat somewhere!!!! Anyways Peter Hall assures me it is tune based (we chucked a standard 32GTR computer in it and it made 226rwkws!) and the computer has a jap remap chip in it. Oh well - PWR FC D-Jetro and some 700cc injectors on their way at the moment. Should hopefully make low-mid 300's at the wheels post Martin Donnon super tune in the near future. Very happy with the purchase - especially since it sports a huge amount of extras including the R34 GTR engine and bigger twin turbos......

Those of you trying to make a GTST into a GTR (as I did for 4 years) don't stuff around - go the GTR. Traction is sweet!!!!!!

Nice work on the purchase, don't forget to take the fuse out for when you want to see your rear quarter trying to overtake you! Lovin the slide!

Yeah - came to Aust with the handy 4wd/2wd switch already fitted. From experience it shall now be known as the uneven tyre wear switch......(scratches head - wonders last time he saw a GTR drifting)

nice. Just watch out for the bad hair day at the tuners :D

Hey that got my attention!

Whats the quarter mile time and mph for that VL engine transplant you did in your Skyline? Just interested to know how all that brutal driveshaft twisting torque translates into actual real world acceleration B)

Im picking around 13.9 @ 100mph. Am I right?

lol. havent found out as yet :D 1/4 mile doesnt interest me.

ps. - the brutal torque quote is a dig taken from the v8 (black jeans, beanie headed, VB drinking) boys....as im sure you know  Hows your car coming along?

    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
