hey guys i got a sard FPR and ive installed it onto my duel entry fuel rail, with the middle rail outlet going to the side of the FPR and then the bottom of the FPR runs to the return line to the tank. is this the correct way or the other way around?

when i turn the ignition on to prime the pumps up and make pressure, it makes a funny whirring noise for about 2-3 secs, sort of like if u put the fuel lines on the wrong ends and it blocks against the regulator. im 100% sure the inlet and return on the rail are correct so i know its not that and the sound comes from the reg and it moves abit when it makes the noise.

can u just undo the line out of the regulator and make sure fuel is coming out or doesnt fuel come out at all from the regulator until its running?

any info or even a pic of some others installed would be a great help

thanks

Brad

Hi Brad,

According to your description, the sard reg is plumbed up correctly. The best thing to do is fit a fuel pressure gauge to the second port of your regulator. If you are using up this port due to your duel entry rail, then use a y-piece to feed the dual rail from one port on the regulator. A fuel pressure gauge is essential in order to set the base fuel pressure. Note base fuel pressure is set when the engine is idling with the vacuum line disconnected.
