Amps = Watts/Volts

Say a pc IS actually using 350w that would be

X = 350 / 240

there for 1 pc @ 350w would = 1.4583....Amps

Which means about 6 pcs (6.8567) per socket would be ok?

Or did i fudge my figures :)

Sounds a tad excessive to me though....

Haven't tripped a circuit yet.

I might be jumping in a little late or not quite on topic, but I normally have about 6 PC's running out of one power point.

If I end up with more than 6, due to space they end up on another power point (witch has a running fish tank plugged into it LOL). I'm not sure if the two power points on the same circuit or not though.

Good luck game hard!

Hey Madaz,

this is the stuff that i am doing. At the moment this is only 69000 polys and my computer is starting to struggle with it.

i'm not sure if its only my video card that need up grading or more

I have a gig of ram which helps, The video card is only a 128mb ati radeon 9600.

got a 2.6ghz cpu

any suggestions?

How much actual RAM do you have on the motherboard ? The jerkyness when doing details could be the caused by the the image size making the program/windows write to the page file.

upgrade the ram by adding another 2 sticks and then upgrade the 3d card. if u have AGP start considering the PCI-e systems with DDR2 ram. its the way of the future. for now.

that gfx card only came in AGP my sugestion it start thinking of full upgrade can be done as cheap or as dear as u like to a certain extent

i suggest doing what i did first off... get an E6600 conroe, a 7800GTx, 1 gig of DDR2 800Mhz Kingston HyperX ram, and the motherboard, any ASUS one, will do. but DO NOT BUY ANYTHING NOW ITS JUST GETTING INTO HOLIDAY PERIOD U WILL BE RAPED. wait till after.

thats where i would go

E6600 x1900gt 2gb OCZ and a gigabyte mobo

nothing wrong with either computers just im on my 2nd pc with all those parts and havnt had any trouble even bought the gigabyte 939 board with a 3700+ for dads pc and that runs great

ive chosen a GT grafix card over XTX to keep the price down whilst still having performance to boot

**EDIT**

the DO NOT BUY LINE

i would say disregard that and change it too

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ADELAIDE U WILL BE RAPED

shop online and you will be surprised

a quick $2,000 PC no monitor hopefully youve got 1

maybe SAZilla can do the same to show a comparison of a asus system

keep in mind these arnt the skimpiest parts and system could be built cheaper but there not the deaest parts either its a nice comprimise

this attachment is a excel document with hyperlinks to all products there will be cheaper prices in australia but ive found Scorptec to be fair and if u ask for discount you may get something also

Computer2gpc.zip

i bought most of my gear from scorptec. They had to order stuff in like the motherboard in, but were still quicker and cheaper than buying here in SA.

Large gear like a case, HDD(s), and dvd rom i bought locally. I also bought my gpu locally incase i needed to RMA it - which i did 1 month after purchase and had a quick swap / replacement.

i bought my Gfx card from nintek cause @ that time they were the cheapest in AUS $999 and i priced the same thing in adelaide they wanted $1250 odd

i bought dads PC from the IT warehouse b4 there manager left and got great prices on everything the same manager let me return a 7800GTX after keeping it for almost 2weeks :( gave me full cash refund

EDIT

Any of you guys on OCAU? Im on there as foliage.

i think i am but dont visit there if i am i would be Madaz or Madaz_Rx8

    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
