C&d Motorworks In Sunshine...any Good?

Recommended Posts

My mate Barry used to work there, he is a toyota/1jz/2jz guru. CnD are a good shop, speak to Cong, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to Toyotas and Nissans.

haha small world.

Barry is working on my car at the moment!

Although he's at Performance Jap Specialist now, but he's leaving for his own workshop soon.

Back on Topic.

C and D are alright, Cong is a good tuner.

But a bit pricey for what they are.

hahhaha

Yeah Im constantly at Perf Jap annoying him, I cant wait till he gets his own shop, he is one of the best and most thorough mechanics I know. And I work in a industry where Im surrounded by over 60 different mechanics and different shops all day.

yeah i can vouch for barry, top guy and good work too. As for c&d, haven't heard much about them since he left. does anyone know what happened to that supra they were building up to make crazy power? think it was the orange or yellow one that chick owned.

that car is pretty insane, so is the drdrft supra that is always there.

the yellow one your refering to julz is also pretty insane, seen it being test driven around the local streets.

i believe that at their dyno day last year the car's engine was blown when it was being dynoed...

barry was telling me they were getting the head from america or somewhere that could handle around 60psi of boost or something. that was a while ago now though.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
