So looking at the SK pic, in standard trim, the subframe floats up and down on those mount points, and the pinapples fill a that gap.

If you get Aluminum ones, sound is tramitted through the frame.

For all round performance use the bottom ones (non split)

For drift tilt the diff back using btm front, top rear.

For drag tilt it forward using top front, btm rear.

"I have the otomotto kit and i have 2 large split and 2 small non split"

This would be a kit designed for drag then.

The whiteline doesnt have the scope for drift? and if you put all 4 budshes in the rear it is a marginal drift setup?

couldn't remember if you had the pinapples or not but from memory your car was quiet, handled awsome and had the same firm ride in a straight line as mine with its standard springs and uprated shocks (on car when bought). Cheers for letting me know you did have them for our spin :thumbsup:

P.S. enjoying the job? had to do a couple of your call outs. Sick of being told "can't make it" yet?

Not so, you put the small split rings above the subframe at the rear and the large non split below the subframe at the front. This give max antisquat which reduces the rear end grip, making it the ideal setting for drift. It's the bottom left hand drawing in the instructions.

I have most definitely used the drag setting (maximum squat) on a few cars that I have worked on, as well as my own. The usual improvement in 60' times is 0.15 second from the subframe alignment.

That setting is the lower left in the instructions (maximum traction). With the small, split rings on top at the front and small, non split rings on the bottom at the rear.

most people i've spoken to using them in drift cars, go for either "All Round" or "grip"

As someone mentioned above, and has been confirmed with a few people i've spoken to who have used them in "drift" setup, they are stupidly slippery and becomes more of a hinderance than a benefit if the car is properly set up in the first place.

Any problems with understeer or problems loosing traction for drift should be overcomed using different wheels/tyres or different stabiliser bar settings.

how long generaly should the whiteline pineapples last for ??

i got mine about a year ago but i think there starting to die now...

that clunking noise has kinda come back now when i turn and stuff..

hmm maybe ill take em out and see if there cracked or something

    • Maybe also really stiffly sprung track cars. Get the inside wheel up in a corner and all the fun stops. Also me sometimes (rarely) when I have to stand on the brake to convince the diff to drive the wheel that is still on the ground when I'm trying to diagonally get over severe driveway entrance, etc.
    • I feel like I'm missing something. You had an authorised installer come out and install a new alarm. Post install the car doesn't start, and you aren't getting the installer back to fix what they did wrong?
    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you  
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'  
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
