hello

i am from canada and i drive a R32 GTR with RB26 with T78 turbo and grex cams

recently my engine blew it's pistons, and now we are looking into upgrading it to something bigger !

Rb30 came into count, and now i need to learn more about these engine.

where did RB30 come from ? i realized only you guys in AUS are crazy about it where as us in canada and USA don't get these engines at all.

where can i get a RB30det kit ?

and at the engine

if i bolt on a RB30 with a RB26 head + my T78 turbo how much power / tq would i make ?

do i need a special computer to tune rb30 as i have HKS f-con v-pro right now, will that work ?

thanks

any other links i can get RB30 parts from ?

a) The RB30 came in R31 Skylines and VL Holden Commodores.

b) Parts wise, (for the RB30 block) Try searching for a Holden wrecker in Australia that will do international shipping.

Im assuming you have read some articles on the conversion and don't need to be pointed in the right direction for guides, and whats involved ?

c) The F-Con V should be fine to use in conjunction with your new bottom end.

d) Impossible to speculate what your engine will make power + tq wise. Can however say that the 3L bottom end makes monster torque especially down low to get that turbo spooling as fast as possible.

Theres a couple of articles on how to build one of these puppies, 2nd link contains a pretty good parts breakdown and a orugh budget at the bottom in australian dollars.

If you need any more help, post up, Im sure theres plenty of guys a lot more knowledgable than me that could help you out :D

Getting the sump/diff to fit is quite difficult, but is made easier by using the conversion kit designed by one of the guys on the forum here, I think it might be fitzpatric speedworks, but the massive sticky in the forced performace section has all the info you will need, plus cubes has put together a detailed guide about what parts are required and what will fit, have fun :D

any other site for RB30det build up ?

i remeber there's a site called

www.rb30det.com

what happened to it and i think they sell RB30 kits too with forged pistons for $5000AUD !!

if i build a RB26 with RB30 bottom, are there alot of moddifications i need to do ? does it come close to being a bolt on kit ?

thanks
