Removing Mesh From Front Bar

Hey guys, I want to get rid of the mesh/chicken wire on my 400r front bar. I'm pretty sure I will just remove all the mesh around the sides, blinkers etc but, I'm wondering, should I remove the front grill mesh or just spray it black.. because if it's gone.. can't alot of unwanted stuff fly in there?

i think spraying it black would be good, the stock ones come standard black. the unpainted or white looking grill just makes it look extremely rice and cheap looking
