The only thing that is going to save your fuel is your right foot!!!

If you've got some skillz with a soldiering iron, don't mind how "pretty" it looks, and can devote some setup time...

Go the Jaycar IEBC, I'm really pleased with mine, and there is NO better value for money.

IEBC - $80

Handcontroller - $60 But you're welcome to borrow mine during setup.

Hybrid dual stage EBC

around $200 on forums/Ebay

works well, has in-cabin switch between high and low boost, as well as actual boost adjustment

Same, except I paid $260.. doh.

Does work well, and I can attest to the fact that it doenst 'boost spike' (well mine doesnt anyway, at its current lo 10psi / hi 12psi settings)

Good value for money, but I wish I bought a digital unit, and not this one as it uses 2 dials to changes the boost - need an accurate boost guage to be sure of your settings.

yeah Brendan, but a boost gauge is a whole $59 from JustJap these days.

Sorry I didn't realise it was you on BF2 the other night - had a brain fade .... and forgot about the Tangles tag :D

LOL Nytecrawler

My car luckily enough came with an expensive Apexi boost guage, so Im all ok, just not a huge fan of the dials thats all. Pretty easy to bump if it was installed in the wrong area (mine is in a little coin box, so alls good, again). But for the $$ well worth it in my opinion.

yah, I was sure it was you on BF2! Reckon I had you packing your dacks tho LOL "who are you, how do you know Ive got a skylines, how do you know Im in SA?"

see www.bf2s.com for your stats (the game is harder at the start seeing you've got crappy guns, but start owning with the Apache!).

Anyways, how do I get that bar on the bottom of the posts (ie, Futurama fan, Big Boob lover, etc, LOL)

nah I'm not new - just haven't played for a while - last timeI checked I had a couple of ranks and awards - I unlocked a nice sniper rifle too .... unless the stats reset.

Go to www.userbars.com and you'll find all the info you need mate

Cheers for that info!

hhmm, I looked you up on that stats page, but it came up empty.... Im not sure if itd be reset as such, a bit unfair on the players if thats the case. Last night cracked my 8000points, so got my guns now for the year! It'll take too long to get 20000 points, have no idea how ppl get 300000!

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
