Recently got my coupe R34 GT-T's left (passenger side) door window glass bashed.... :) Does anyone have or know where can I get a fast replacement (including installation preferred), in Sydney area? Any other suggestions welcome. Thank you!

Ask satanic (Stan). His car recently got broken into and I'm pretty sure he had to get a new window (not sure if it was passenger or drivers side).

Or better still, wait for someone who knows an asnwer to reply ^_^

Thanks guys for all the replies.. :( I have contacted Stan, he is very nice and informative.., but as he also got the passanger door's window broken. Therefore, I am still waiting to get the confirmation from some companies like Obriens, Novus, JustJap, SSS, and Nissan (Nissan did provide a solution but it is extremely expensive and lenghty). So any other suggestions will be really appreciated. Thanks once again,

To Abo Bob: It is the door window..

I had my drivers side smashed when people tried to break into mine got it replaced by PowerPlay. They replaced it and everything for about 250 to 300 I think. Only place that had one for an R34. No point calling Obrians they dont have them.

$250 - $300 for a full window replacement + any associated trims is an absolute steal!

I had my mate run some prices from Nissan and the door window plus trims came to about $2k to repair!!!

I have PM'd Cwest to ask whether its the smaller glass or the door glass.. Because yesterday I received an email reply from SSS which said that they have the left window glass, for $250.... I gave them a ring to confirm that they have the door window glass, and again they said they have it. Finally I went to Girraween (near Blacktown) from City, only to know that they were mistaken, the one they have is the smaller one.... At the moment, the best price I can get is from Randwick Nissan, $1190.35 excluding installation and 2 weeks delay....

See what I mean?

Also, $250.00 for the back quarter glass is a good price considering they are about $470.00 brand new (trade price) from Nissan.

Did you see if the rear glass came with the mould? Or was it just the glass... you need to get it with the mould, as it is a sealed unit.

Unfortunately I didnt see the back quarter one they have as I dont need that part, so I cant tell whether or not it includes the mould..

Just thought I'd post up that my glass got re-fitted tonight... excellent job done by Mick from Unique Auto Glass! In and out of my workshop in about 1.5hours which included removal from another car and transfer into mine.

The finish is so good, you could swear I was never broken into :(

Also, for all those who think that the rear quarter glass cannot be transferred, you are wrong! Mick did it with a special tool and did it very quickly...

m-p if you need someone to do your glass, talk to Mick - 0425371057

Also you might want to call him up and talk to him about my case, then your case - apparently he's found tonnes of sources for the glass (topic of conversation tonight)

Might save yourself a dollar or two!

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
