afaik all GT badged skyzerz came with GT lights?

GT, GTS, GTSX, GTSR correcto?

incorrecto

Only the earlier models had them.

The early series Aussie 31 had strip tail lights, the early series Jap 31s had what you're refering to as "GT lights"

Jap & Aus both changed to tail lights very similar in appearance with later models.

I've never seen a picture of a GTS-R with GT lights.

its a nice example of a pillarless 4 door, but for the $$$, after Mods and ORC maybe $10000 :) , you can find a nice example of a 2door right here in OZ,Hell for $8500 i'll sell you my r31/rb25det... :(

Overpriced by $2000 regardless of condition

I paid in the $14,XXX for my GTS-R which was loaded to the hilt

I've since seen a GTS-R with RB26 go for over 24k @ auction and also locally one just sold in the mid 20's.

However, the stocker ones with the red-top motors that are prone to any electrical fault you can think of...

I rarely see one go for more than $7500 already here, rego'd and complied.

I sold my old coupe for $8000 back nearing 3 years ago now, and that was possibly the cleanest HR31 in AUS at the time.

but it wouldnt even fetch that now i reckon

holy crap another one!- so many people even to this day call my gts a passage but now theres another one ahah..

Has the EXACT same interior as my gts 4door.. the gts is the povo spec of the hr31 family but in reality all that means is that it misses out on crappy gadgets like 4stacker tape player and electric seats (still gets elec mirrors, windows etc) and weighs a shitload less. My gts weighed in around 1340 from memory

regarding the price, if it were 8k complied and on the road it would be a pretty good deal especially considering there arent many of them running around. But then again you could buy mine which is of its tits (for an rb20 that is) for 12.5g's...

mmm r31's

:)

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
