Hi folks,

I blew up the gearbox in my GTR32 last night. :nyaanyaa: .. We got the box out and theres only a ball hair of meat left on the HKS twin plate clutches. So nows probably a good time to replace it... :

I'm sure a few people out there have encounted this problem, and i was wondering who's got a good (preferably cheap) solution to the problem.. at the moment I see my options as being, either

A. Ditch the twin plate and start again from scratch with a new "hyper" single, or ..

B. Get the plates re-bonded... (Provided the rivots haven't munged out on the flywheel/intermediate plate/pressure plate)

Anyone got any recomendations? Anyone know who can do a good job on bonding/riviting new padles to the clutch plates? ;)

Cheers folks.

Robbo.

Just get new plates. Not sure about HKS. but for OS Giken, full rebuild kit i.e. plates, flywheel, pressure plate, and other stuff for 1200. Not bad considering they're worth about 3k new.

Depending on your driving/power etc. If you have enough power to blow the gtr32 box, a twin plate is probably not a bad idea.
